at this point in FA what cb out there are u so enamoured with?? cause at 3 mill a year and at age 26 i dont see how you could be upset about this signing. he cant do any worse than ty law lead the league in penalties. and barrett who is just flat up and down between sucks and average.. was it the chiefs game were they burn barrett play after play marching down the field.
I dont why some people are down on this move. We upgraded our secondary with a young player who is about to enter his prime.
Because some people aren't happy unless they're bitching about something. Also, he was hurt for all of two games before last year. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. It's not like he's missed a lot of time in each season he's been in the league.
Bitching around...telling the truth...its all the same to me. He was a backup in Seattle and now he signed a backup CB-like contract. We'll see if he can beat Barrett out. I dont think he will, but we will see. Barrett is very physical and has solid speed. He's a great tackler and pretty good in run support. How about Dyson? Yea, nice cover corner. But he's NOT physical, he's horrible in run support and cant tackle and gives up way too many big plays, because he loves to gamble. Like i said, we'll see.

If you read the original signing of dyson thread it states the clayton reports that he is due to make 3 mill this year
Theres a difference between "he makes x million THIS year" and "he makes x million A year". 5 years, 11 million, 3 million signing bonus...Thats backup CB like money...thats a joke. Barrett signed a 6 year, 21 million contract incl. 6.5 million signing bonus two years ago. THATS what you usually pay a starting CB.
sorry didnt know it was such a sensitive issue. That was the previous FO who did the barrett deal. From what I have seen so far they have underpaid all of the FA's this year instead of overpaying like in previous years. Also we dont know what kind of incentive and roster bonuses the contract has.
I like the signing. He was pretty dang good when he played for Tennessee and just seemed to have a down year when he went to Seattle. I guess we will have to wait and see how it works out, but you won't hear me complaining about it unless he turns out like David Barrett.
