thanks for posting the article. I disagree with the author on RT Woody. I have read that the Lions wanted him back at RT, so it can't be that bad of a signing.
It looks like a second-rate site to me. Poor analysis IMO, kind of seems like a teenager put that tripe together...
I'm not saying you're wrong, but declaring a FA move as good because Matt Millen agrees is hardly a big endorsement.
i love shchotty jr as a OC. but when you have inconsistent OL play and a QB Carousel its hard to find solidity within the offense and consistency is the only time you get a measure of a scheme. one more year before i decide on him but as of now i like the multiple recievers in motion, the no huddle, and at the line audibles. i love the concept and scheme of the offense, but, the playcalling was predictable though. thats one thing that idiot writing the article got right. thing is after coles went down we had nobody except cotch who then got double teamed cuz teams were not afraid of our run game. we'll see. schotty jr is definitely a great schemer, lets give him some solid O line play and see if it effects the sometimes questionable play calling.
Callahan was clearly brought in out of a perception that Marty is not getting it done. But what I have to wonder about is how this will play out on game day - who calls the plays, who doesn't. You'd have to think that the guy who still holds the title will be doing that, but then was Callahan brought in only to coach players in practice? I would think not. I am afraid that site's take on Woody might be accurate. Not being a big fan of Moore, either, I don't see much more than mediocre output from the right side of the line. Of course the best part was the site saying the same thing I feel about Pennington. It is so true Chad shouldn't even be on the team at this point.
This is the worst analysis I've ever read on this team. Wrong facts, completely off base (Pennington is a Jerk?), omissions, and little first hand knowledge (except for the one game he watched...Thanksgiving). Awful, just awful.
You misunderstood me. You use the logic that Callahan is here because its a "clear" sign his job "might" be in jeopardy, which is logically impossible. You can't have a certainty followed by an uncertainty. You Fail. Anyway - my question was about the above, of how Callahan can come in and offer his help- every position coach does have input. It doesn't mean that Schotty is in trouble. Callahan was available, Wise went back to Miami, the Jets said "what the hell, let's go get a coach known for his O-Line prowess"
this guy's such a jerk off. he's way off in his analysis of pennington being a jerk. if nothing else, penny's the quintisential team player. i don't think anyone can argue with that. has anyone heard of d'brick putting on a lot of weight? maybe i missed that report. i can't agree with his analysis of the QB position, either. with no offensive line, and the opponents ability to know most every play we are going to run, how can we really evaluate that position? what an idiot!
LOL! You're probably right on that. Maybe I jumped the gun too soon on my approval of the Woody signing.
