Cimini counted the number of Vlad snaps:

Not a very detailed analysis; would like to see the splits when they ran toward Ducasse/away from him. It's nice to see him out there and contributing, regardless. Hopefully he's making that step, and he can live up to his physical potential at RT next year.

    Send Ducasse deep!

The good thing is that he's getting real NFL experience right now without getting our QB (or other linemen) killed. I think that will go a long way in his development. That's where our current RT came from of course.

He's been playing this type of position for a good portion of the season btw.

Looked pretty damned good on the run block. He seems to be improving. Good signs.

I stick by what I have said since the offseason for him. Give him a real offseason to get coached up and then judge him. If he still can't pass protect next year then everyone can write him off.

Yep. If he can't handle pass pro in his 3rd year then he doesn't belong here.

I am happy to see this kid play to his strengths taking over the Rob Turner role. The running game needs unbalanced lines again. It really helps them get in rhythm.

Agreed. It helps the team to run this kind of formation and it helps him in getting up to NFL speed without getting anyone killed if he misses his assignment.

Considering a jumbo TE / OL is an important role for a team like the Jets I wouldn't be all that pissed if at the end of the day that will be his final role. Sure, I'd prefer if he became a quality starting RT... but the important thing is he finds a role on the team.
