How about Jay Cutler putting up 225 23 times!!! If we draft him and it doesn't work out at QB we could put him on the O-line. As for this article I don't think anyone can be that dumb. Hopefully if its true it doesn't make him slip because that means Cutler or D'brick could move into the top 3.
that works. but if Pennington is cut, then you better think of Plan B, which is.... Bollinger? A vet? I also don't think Cutler is top 5, but I think he can be a very good QB in a couple of years. And if we take him, it's not like the CS is gonna say, "here's the ball. good luck." they will fix the OL to protect him. Maybe the $$$ is the biggest issue. But other than that, I wouldn't mind rolling the dice on him. cheers
This bites. Watch, Cutler goes to the Titans, and becomes a freakin pro bowler. It's my fault. I said I wanted him. I was with Jabba early on this one. Because I'm a Jets fan, this is how it will play out.
I don't believe Pennington will be cut. However, if he is cut, then maybe we do need to address this in the draft. I'd do what I could to get Leinart. I'd move with the Saints if I had to. I'd play him from Day 1.
Like Ive said before...if Pennington is cut I expect us to draft QB in the 1st and sign a vet. On the otherhand, if he restructures, I would expect them to keep him for a year, see how he performs, and then go into next years draft with that knowledge, and decide what to do. If he stinks it up we can look towards Brady Quinn or Chad Henne
bad idea, why waste another year on the noodle....Whatever Penny does shouldn't have any impact on our decisions at the position. The only smart idea is expect nothing from the glass man...
I thought they would from the start, from Tenneesee and I think Fisher likes him a lot because he coached him in the senior bowl.
I think 51PA found another screen name...... sort of works with the whole arabic background he has too.
I think you're right. I also think this test is bullshit, and most likely the result is a lie. I think if someone did lie, this is seriously racist. We'll see. I'd definitely take Vince in the second round if teams are stupid enough to pass on him because of the test. Vince Young's job isn't to look at stupid questions that you could solve if you had more time or a calculator or some other form of reference. His job is to throw a football and read defenses. In other words, spatial reasoning. There is very little pattern recognition and spatial reasoning in there. Even if there was, I didn't even want to take that test, and I'm sure Vince didn't care for it either. You guys are overreacting. Has anyone actually tried taking the test during the time limit? I was pressed for time and I'm almost always done extremely early on TESTS DESIGNED for academics. This is a test designed for athletes, and I couldn't even finish a 15 question set. I don't think I could handle 100 questions.
Vince would be great in the second round, In hope he falls to us and we maked everyone else looke as stupid as they think he is What'ru talking about 51pa? What the hell does that mean?
Say what you want about Skip Bayless, but he recently said Jay Cutler is the next Brett Favre. We all know how the Jets coveted Favre and he got selected by Atlanta one spot in front of the Jets. Maybe the same will happen with Cutler. Young does comes across as moronic when I've seen him interviewed.
