That thought has been expressed on several occasions in this thread. If people would read instead of reacting like Pavlov's dogs, this thread would be over. Too much to ask from some, I suppose.
Wow...and all this time I thought Donnie Edwards was underrated. Let's face it...ILB's stuff the run gaps and play zone coverages typically covering the TE. Will help in Blitzes but that's what they are tackling machines darn it. Vilma is a great ILB.
Vilma Wow I have yet to go WOW Over anything Vilma has done. However, I don't feel he is over-rated. Vilma is a good and soon to be great player. However, he will never be an elite player. Will he make a solid contribution every year, yes he will, is he the best player on our defensive team, well he was our second best, we traded away our 1st best. SO he will probably be our best this year. Fact is when you have one of your own say he's over-rated, it means a hell of a lot more then a wreckless Giants fan. Remember one thing, Vilma led the league in tackles on a really bad team that had their defensive team on the field much too long to succeed.
