    You know a thread is bad when a guy who has been on for 3 days says the thread is absolutely ridiculous and with little merit.

    I think he is a little overrated by Jet fans, but is still an outstanding LB, and still getting better. I don't think he will ever be as good as Ray Lewis was in his prime but who is? He was the guy I wanted the Jets to draft the most. Fisrt time my wish ever came true in regard to the Jets draft. I think he will stand out alot more with the right pieces on defense around him

    I vote YES!!!!!!!! How are you going to insult the best player on our team, whom by the way just finished his second season in the NFL. As a matter of fact in the football/NFL community as a whole, i might even say he's a little UNDERRATED........

    I was voting that this was the dumbest thread of the year. Not that Vilma is overrated, try reading the second post and then the other ones that are on here.

    Yes i agree we do need DTS ... but put Ray lewis brian urlacher in the field without a DT ... n your gonna say they are overratted too.

    every MLB needs their DTS to be able to preform well .. thats wut the DTs are there to do ... ehh TEAM SPORT?

    Vilma needs big bodies? You mean this past season when he went to the probowl and had James Reed and all of his 286 pounds in front of him? Please...get a brain and a life.

    And How did you come up with this stellar discovery? The fact that he lead the league in tackles and played every stinking game, or perhaps it was because of the super performance up front against the run by Abraham that protected Vilma. Gee go figure. I guess Ray Lewis undersize frame was exposed too....we just missed it. Vilma is a stud. Period

    I'm not going to kill you, because Vilma is small and small LBs usually don't do well in the 3-4. Despite that, there were doubts about Vilma's size when we drafted him and he turned into a superstar. I definetly wouldn't call him overrated because he really doesn't get the credit he deserves as IMO the best MLB in the NFL not named Brian Urlacher, and Ray Lewis when he's healthy.
