and whos to say Mario Williams isnt the next Courtney Brown and Leinart the next Ryan Leaf?

 

And D'Brickashaw Ferguson the next Tony Mandarich.

 

yeah, i see the similarities there. D'Brick has good technique and athleticism while Mandarich got by on sheer size and steroids. They were probably separated at birth.

I think this has more to do with SF trading for #22 than anything else.

its not just Ferguson, i get like that when i see double standards. Like someone saying Vernon Davis is gonna be a bust because Kyle Brady was a bust. D'Brick is gonna be a bust because Mike Williams was a bust. If that can be said about them, then you have to apply that train of thought to all the other players. Who is to say Leinart, Cutler, Mario are not going to be busts. Courtney Brown was a bust, Leaf was a bust, Couch was a bust, etc. It just annoys me when people get really selective in their arguments. That and when people get too homeristic, acting like our players on our team are dynamite or whenever we sign a free agent they act like that guy is gonna be a superstar even though he sucked elsewhere.

 

how about we make sure hes not called VD?
