More like JD being a teenage girl waiting for a guy she likes to call her. Once he did, she just gave it all up without a second thought.

Before Gutekunst had a chance to open his mouth and say I accept the offer already on the table as he intended, JD immediately offered a pick swap.

I remember in the offseason extensive conversations about how the Jets had all the leverage over Gutekunst and the Packers haha

I guess having leverage and using it are 2 different things...

Having leverage and being clumsy enough to give it back.

It still takes balls to use leverage. Joe D was probably hoping to keep their working relationship good so he could keep stealing those primo Rodgers Guys from the Green Bay graveyard.

Still wondering what Saleh did to be saddled with the least desirable head coaching spot in the NFL. It's not like Saleh is an unlikeable sleazebag, like that douche Gase .

This organization is just ran irresponsibly. Everything is always based on wishful thinking. It’s been over a decade since this team has been to the playoffs and I wish their vision for changing that wasn’t so heavily centered on wishful thinking.

It’s wishful thinking that a 40 yr old Aaron abilities is going to age like Brady instead of Manning/ Roethlisberger/ etc. I mean history has shown Brady is the exception not the rule.

It’s wishful thinking that the GM is gonna finally figure out how to fix the O line. He’s been here for like 5 yrs and this team is in no better shape than when he got here.

The coach? I don’t I have to say much. I mean he hasn’t shown that he’s a very good coach.

Hackett, I’m gonna assume he’s coming back? It’s wishful thinking that the offensive coordinator is going to magically get better. Let’s say Aaron covers his stench what happens if Rogers goes down?

Everything seems predicated on a 40 yr old QB in a violent sport, where injuries are expected & expecting him to cover up other peoples inadequacies. That just doesn’t seem like a good strategy.

I'm listening to the presser this morning. Listening to Saleh it always sounds like he's apologizing for the game he just lost. Then he just left the podium. Woody is good with this? Time for the league to step in like they did for the Giants and the Commanders.

Exactly. The people who are correct and have foresight based on knowledge and logic are ridiculed and shunned.

Call the team out, you're not a real fan. Show frustration, go root for another team.

    People are stupid.

Oh yes he is. He’s a fugaze. Looks the part, has no clue. He’s not a defensive genius, he employs the most basic aggressive D that is predicated on having better players that overpower an offense. There’s no intelligence to it, no thought to adjustments customized to the opponent. A monkey can run his D, that’s the only truth the man has stated since he entered the building. He’s not only not good at his job, he’s deceiving and untruthful with the media, with ownership , and especially with his players. Nobody is singing his praises, no one is lining up to play for him. Saleh has made zero effort to improve as a coach, zero effort to expand his football intelligence, zero effort in coaching his players into positions to succeed. Bill Bellicheck’s first rule on D is to put his players in the best position to succeed based on their skill, not to ask them to do what they aren’t capable of doing. In contrast Saleh’s rule is to draft and sign players who can do the job without requiring Saleh to think about how to put the player in position to succeed. Fuck him and his bald headed compatriot slimeball friend in Douglas as well. It will be a great day watching them escorted from the facility

People I know who live in other parts of the country and don't follow the Jets closely ask me about Saleh and if i like him, and I tell them "I like him. He's great. His small fault is he's not good at winning football games" As the years pile up on me rooting for this team, I've preached the value of consistency, and not wiping out the staff every three years (or less). So I can not get upset about keeping the coaches in place for 2024. However, I am gritting my teeth, and this time next year will know for sure if that is a viable way of doing things. It's obvious to all that this staff is not giving it's players an advantage week in week out. Look at Flacco last night vs what he did here. That's just one example. There are hundreds.

The issues was going all in on a 40 yr old QB and protecting him with a 40 year old hurt left tackle.

The Jets won a few games last season and blamed the QB and the OC why they failed. Meanwhile the washed up QB we brought in last season just lit us up for 300 plus yards and 30plus points.

We win a games this season and again we blame the QB why this team has failed.

This team has failed as a whole this past two seasons from defense to offense and the worst o-line in the league.

This team is not a QB away and never had been and that is on the GM Coach and most likely ownership to agree to this plan.

Firing Saleh and Douglas will not have any effect on the success of this team (although I think they should go). Until we Woody hires a competent football ops person or sells the team this team is doomed.

Rex, Bowles, Gase, Saleh. It does not matter.

But that will be a start. We cannot compare JD/Saleh to Tanny and Rex, who took us to AFC Championship twice. At least let's get to that level first. JD and Saleh have to go, it's too bad dumb ass Woody is too senile and demented to see this.

I agree they have to go but I do not agree that it will get any better.

We got lucky with Rex after we tried the same thing we are doing now with Favre. Then it started all over with Tebow.

I just do not see the light.

There is no reason to believe that Woody would hire the right coach or GM next time…he has failed at both time and time again

Better to take a shot with new guys who will probably suck than stick with guys who definitely suck.

Yup, nothing like super suckage with NEW guys! One year we’ll actually get lucky and fall into a decent coach. May not be in our lifetimes but…one day.
