Do you want to know what a good guy and team player Namath was? Even though he knew the fight song was beyond stupid, he led the singing so Holtz wouldn't be embarrassed. The melody was from "The Caissons Go Rolling Along," and the lyrics were: ''Win the game/Fight like men/We're together win or lose/New York Jets go rolling along.'' Geez, was that song bad or what?

I never realized how much Howard Cosell resembled Grandpa Munster. Good gawd that theme song was memorable. It's rattling around in my brain right now and I can't get it out.
