Update on Kerley?

    It's going to depend on the severity of the dislocation and whether there is ligament/bone damage. 2-3 weeks immobilized in a sling purely a dislocation. If damage has occurred lets hope there's none to the blood vessels. That can get very complicated and could be career ending. I sincerely hope not

    Guess they need to wait a couple of days to get a clear picture. Hopefully he'll be back after bye week, we'll see

    An ESPN article said that "a league source" said that it is not a season-ending injury.

    It looked pretty bad, but under Idzik the Jets are playing the injury reports close to the vest, so I wouldn't expect to hear a ton about it other than "Kerley's out with an elbow".

    The real way that we'll know is if he goes on the IR. If they think he's going to miss more than 3 - 4 weeks, they'd probably put him on the IR so they can use his roster space to sign a practice squad guy, and then hope he's ready to go in 2014.
