I think the Colts will get the 3 seed and the winner of the AFC West getting the 4 seed.

This has been on my mind for a few weeks now, and you're right that it sucks if it does happen. The Jets will just have to beat the Pats.

loser of the AFC East gets to face SD or INDY on the road in the 1st round. Sucks. That's why I'm just enjoying the regular season right now. The playoffs is a crap shoot as we proved last season.

I kinda like it though. The Ravens went 12-4 got the wildcard. Won the Super Bowl.

From the looks of it the Wild Card winners will have to go to Indianapolis and the other will go to San Diego. Unless the stupid Chiefs or Jaguars can change that.

While having the #1 seed would be ideal, getting into the playoffs is all that matters.

How many teams have had byes and then blown the game? Chargers (2006 and 2009), Ravens (2006), Cowboys (2007), etc... The important thing is just making the playoffs.

We are going to loose to the Pats next week not cause they are the better team but because we will be screwed by bull penalty calls i guarantee!

You laugh but with a win already over the Colts and no real tough games on the schedule except Indy (or if you want to count the Giants as tough) they could end up with the division at 11-5. I am going to be a big Jags fan the next month, I would love to have Peyton sit this January out.

I would bet money that the Colts and Chargers will not both make the playoffs given the schedules of the KC, Raiders and Jags - one of those two teams is going to be on the outside of the playoff picture.

Could you imagine the Jets or Pats (5 seed) going out to play the Raiders (4 seed) - that would be fun.

They made less, but considering their share of the stadium costs its still gotta sting.

Woody is thankful for one thing: Favre's elbow injury in '08. If the Jets limp into the playoffs then theres no way he can fire Mangini. Imagine having to sell all those season tix and PSL's with Mangini as the face of the franchise.

And I like Mangini personally and as a coach, but if you want your team to displace the Giants as the face of football in NYC and also sell PSL's, Rex is your man. I'll bet Woody and Mike T. weren't even upset with the Miami and Inez Sanchez thing, if you hooked them up to a lie detector.

    ANY publicity is GOOD publicity.

Its not just the home games for the top seed. Its the week off that I want. Come on, we are better off playing 2 games to get to the Super Bowl then 3 games, end of story. We have never played a Championship game at home since 1970. We need to get the # 1 seed and have 2 home games at our place. It will be the loudest, craziest crowd of all time. And I love the Jets against the Pats, we match up real well, I actually think we could blow them out. You want that 60 minute, all 3 units on top of their game? Well, its coming in 9 days.

The Jets may be a very good road team, but the real advantage of the #1 or #2 seed is the week off. That being said, I believe the Patriots definitely "need" the next game more. Getting a bye in the playoffs would help them by giving them a rest, and they would get to play at home, where they tend to play much better at. I don't buy into the whole "first round bye = more pressure = easier to lose" thing.

We NEED the bye and teams coming into our house. It's that simple.

Exactly.....give me 4 years in a row as the #1 seed, and I know I'm going to the SB at least one time.

Give me 4 years in a row as a wildcard or low-seeded division winner ? Eh......

I believe that is correct since we lost @ the Browns in 86 playoffs.

not one loss this year was because of penalties.

Don't even say week 1, the offense played like pussies.

Yeah, the penalties sucked but we had no business winning that game with the way the offense played.
