Goodell stated in his presser today that when Walsh was done recording a tape he would mark it and hand it off to Ernie Adams, so I guess I was pretty close. He's the Patriots' head tape geek. There's been plenty of print on him in the past year.

If the Pats were using the tapes to research teams they would meet later in the season or in the playoffs, and not for in-game advantages, why were they taping the Pittsburgh AFCC game? They would not see the Steelers again until at least the next season after an entire offseason of signal changes and scheme adjustments and new personnel.

Because they used it in the games, any NFL fan that watches football knows that the Pats always had an answer in the second half of games.
