Vascular Surgeon Muchael McKee shoots and kills ex-wife and her second husband of 5 years to death in Ohio. Now this is crazy. What I've put together so far is that you can't even call him sloppy. He was seen walking around outside with surveillance everywhere and his vehicle was caught on camera. His vehicle was also traced by GPS (or the like) to the house and he's seen within the time frame of the double murder near the residence. It was as if he didn't care at all if he got caught. He was only married to her for about a year almost 10 years ago. They were both 28 when they got married. The marriage only lasted about a year, and they separated and were divorced in less than 2 years. Was he abusive? I guess we'll find out, but that is some serious long time percolating rage. Surprisingly (and thankfully) he didn't kill their children. The ex-wife had two kids (one & four years old) with the second husband. They had no children together. There were no signs of forced entry, and it appears he shot them to death in their bedroom. Interesting question why he would have access to the house (?). Eh, I've opined more than once how damn boring and "off-topic" it is, and even @typeOnegative13NY many, many pages back was anti-politics pollution of his own thread. Apparently that changed. Yawn. It's his thread, though, so whatever. As to Michael McKee, someone had interesting take in the comments section of one of the numerous articles about the case. "I'm wondering if they were carrying on an affair after the fact. Why would he have keyless entry to the house? The husband works an hour away. Did one of the kids let him in if not? Why didn't an alarm go off?" All interesting questions. At least he left those kids alive. Someone else may have murdered them right in front of them before shooting them, not that I'm in any way excusing cold blooded murder in any regard.
Unfortunately, a good portion of what’s going on politically, has crossed the line with true crime. But yeah, this thread is meant to be for the murdery type stuff. (Wonder if maybe since we have a crowd that behaves now , it could be possible to have a politics thread(not forum), to keep things separated. Yeah, it's purely political. Whether or not it involves high crimes and misdemeanors, murders, collusion, etc., it was never the point of your thread, but like I said; it's your thread, lol. Anyway, I'll never understand why that guy didn't have to allocute in order to get the death penalty off the table. "To spare the family", that makes zero sense from where I'm sitting. Those families already know in fine detail how their children were slaughtered, especially if they asked the M.E. and met with him/her directly. They may have even seen the bodies, which was of course their right under the law. Whether or not Bryan Kohberger was going to talk a bunch of bullshit is immaterial to me. He wasn't getting put to death regardless. Say something, buddy. That should have been a condition of his life being spared. I really don't get it. Edit: A word.
It really is strange. It’s amazing how many out there think he’s innocent. I guess the quick wrap up fans the flames of that. I guess kohberger is the one that asked for the deal. Word is that he was afraid his family would have to testify. I believe he is guilty, but still am not sure there was enough to get the death penalty. I would have thought his ego would have thought the same, and he would have wanted a trial.
Yeah, odd about the entry. Maybe the McKees never locked the house and that habit continued into the second marriage. Maybe he knew her favorite four digit code.
Here's another double murder: Brendan Banfield of Washington, D.C., plotted his wife's murder so he could continue his affair with their Brazilian au pair. The au pair just dimed on him on the stand because prosectors cut her a deal. She was complicit, btw. Brendan Banfield posted his wife's photograph on a fetish website and lured a guy named Joseph Ryan to their home. Joseph Ryan thought he would be engaging in a consensual rape fantasy (eww). Brendan Banfield shot them both to death and tried to frame the murder victim. All this just because he couldn't get a freaking divorce. Just another example of they'll never think it was me. It's amazing how many dumbasses kill their spouse and think they're not going to be the very first person of interest by the police.
Not to say the wife had it coming because that's just an awful story but my wife would be skeptical if I wanted to hire a hot young brazilian au pair
It seems like the wife was okay for there to be a cozy photo of the husband and nanny on the nightstand in their bedroom. There may have been more going on than first meets the eye - stay tuned.
