I believe it. I got a feeling that, this new offense is allowing Mark to read defenses far better than in Schottenheimer's offense. The plays took so damn long to call in and start that he more than likely didn't have that time to read the defense enough.
Holy cow guys, I said in my opinion those guys are better right now. I didn't say Sanchez couldn't get better, I didn't say he won't be better this year, I said I'd like him prove me wrong and be better. I'm not arguing I made a statement in comment to something a player said.
I have no worries about mark, I do have worries about the OL and the health of the WRs. If the Ol is good, the WRs stay healthy I think Mark will have his best year.
Totally disagree, its absolutely a stretch and not because sanchez doesnt have the potential. Its a stretch because he has one legit wr and one legit te to throw to. Any decent def can take out your #1 weapon and a good one will take out what we have easily. So we will ground and pound with tebow.....
I think Mark was a top 10 QB 2 years ago- NOT based on fantasy stats so spare me the "great" #s of some of the better fantasy QBs. mark was constantly making plays to win games.
I don't know if I'd say top ten but he was close. Whenever Giants fans talk about how great Eli is and how awful Mark is I like to remind them that 2 years ago Mark Sanchez had a better year.
I'm going to assume you were one of them since you came into this topic to bring this up. If he knows where the pressure is coming and the plays are coming in quicker, he'll have more time to adjust the plays at the LOS to not only protect himself from the defense, but from his own offensive line (as bad as that sounds). I think the WR issue will be just fine come week 1. Holmes will be out there, so will Hill and Keller. No way are they not ready for the first regular season game. I also agree that this will be Mark Sanchez's best year hands down. If he can continue what he did his sophomore year but on a more consistent basis from QTR to QTR, were going to be very happy with the results.
In a vacuum that is true but lucky for us the Jets aren't running a conventional offense. The Jets receivers job this year is to stretch the field and open room for the running lanes. They don't need to match the productivity of a normal team running a normal offense. The Jets DID address that role with two guys who can theoretically stretch the field but we honestly don't know how that's actually going to play out.
It was brought up by the poster who said "there are quite a few people that are saying Tebow is better and will be starting for Mark." I just asked for evidence – a good thing to have before making stupid statements and dumbazz assumptions.
Right. But that's how this debate always goes. The majority of folks have gone out of their way to say Sanchez should be the starter. One or two idiots go waaay overboard, sometimes just to troll and say stupid stuff like, "Tebow is better and will be starting for Mark." Then someone who understandably doesn't care for the influx of Tebow supporters says, "there are quite a few" people saying stupid stuff, when in reality it's 1 or 2 people at most. Then folks like me, who like to argue say "prove it." And folks like 101_GANG_GREEN_101, who like to assume say... And away we go. Bottom line... There aren't "quite a few" people saying Tebow should be starting over Mark. Especially now. That could change, but Sanchez and the Jets would have to play even worse than Orton and the Broncos did last year. And since Tebow will probably see more playing time here than he did when Orton was starter, unlike last year, he won't have the luxury of not shouldering some of the responsibility if the team starts out badly.
Agreed. I just don't wanna see the Jets going into the Half tied 3-3 with Buffalo and then hear "fans" at the stadium chanting Tebow's name (I'm not directing that at you, rather other people in general). That's not the type of support this team needs.
Lofty endorsement? Healthy Peyton, Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Eli, Big Ben, Romo, Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, Matt Stafford and Rivers are all preferable.

 Have you watched news lately? Most of the media still thinks there is a QB controversy going on.
Most of the media are trying to get viewers/hits. They'll sell whatever drama gets them that, reality be damned.
Anything can be called a "controversy" if you can get two people to disagree. It's not a controversy on the practice field or in the lockerroom. It's really not even one on this message board. Like I said, let me know when you can find more than one or two people out of the 13,498 registered members on this board who are saying Tebow should be starting over Sanchez. They're not even a vocal minority. Some controversy.
If people pay their money, they have the right to be stupid. If the Jets are winning, who cares? If the Jets are losing AND Sanchez is playing poorly AND Tebow is clearly getting it done on the field while Sanchez isn't, then they might have a point.
