The NFL no longer really follows the traditional rules of putting a player in one spot as it pertains to defensive ends or outside linebackers. Right tackle has become just as important as left tackle. We've witnessed this ourselves with a good offensive line and a disaster at right tackle in Wayne Hunter and how it wrecks a game. The Giants have also experienced this with the mess they've had at either tackle spot. If a team has a good pass rusher they will shuffle them to the advantageous side as far as matchups go. Not in all cases but a lot of them. Wirfs definitely looks better than Becton early on in pass protection. Becton is a monster in the running game but he needs to get better in pass protection. That's not to say he won't or can't improve but Wirfs has been the better player so far.
