I don't disagree with you the key is do we have a QB targeted later?

i must have missed it when Warner was ligting up the league before faulka nd after faulk's decline. I guess that's why vermeil was crying thinking the season was over before it started in '99 when Trent Gren got hurt.

faulk had 1319 yds in '98 w/ Indy and 1381 in '99 w/ SL. he had 1 more TD rushing and recving in '99 than '98 and his receiving #s were close as well. Warner before Faulk had 11 career passes and when faulk began his decline in '02 warner's career play decerased dramatically to wher he has become a below average QB since 2002.

We'll find out, from all the articles it sounded like they like Croyle and Clemens so we'll see what they do.

The thing is a player like Bush automatically makes all 45 players better. What I mean by that is because the opposing defense has to focus on him it gives everyone else on offense an easier time. You could even line him up as a receiver and keep a RB in the backfield! Of course if the offense has the ball longer, the defense has an easier job.

What's crazy (or stupid) is staying at 4 and taking D'brick. At this point I say trade up and if not trade down and get Cutler. I'm no longer sold on Leinart. The only player I would take at 4 is Hawk.

We werent expected to get Bush before3 last night. I say we should stay where we are and keep our picks. Bush may fall to us anyway, especially if a team trades up to #2 who needs a quarterback.

Dude, you are on a roll today. I'd LOVE to draft Bush if he fell to #4, but I am NOT willing to part with #4, #29, and #35 to do it. As much potential as Bush has, we're talking about 3 early picks here! No, I'd rather stay put and grab the BPA 3 times over then draft one RB, no matter who that RB may be..

What about Sanders too? He was amazing yet Detroit wasn't able to do anything with just him.

An what about the other 9 guys on the Ram offense? As posted earlier, you are going to compare Pace to Jones? Bruce to Coles? etc etc.

That offense was one of the best in NFL history.
    The Jet offense would be Bush and . . . .. .

It's not hard to stop a RB when the OL stinks and QB is coming off an arm injury.

I'm also not buying that Bush is necessarily the next Faulk. Faulk wasn't even Faulk until the trade to the Rams and all the Colts got for him was a 2 and a 5.

We are giving up 2 firsts and a third for a guy with no carries for no yards.

On a side note, anybody hear this rumor...

My trainer told me there was talk that the Titans were actually planning a sign & trade deal and that they plan to end up with Bush (trading with the Saints once they take Bush, plus give another pick) and then they plan to trade back up to the first round and get someone like Leinart or another big name.

I haven't heard anything like that but it would be quite interesting if it happened. Would suck for us obviously.

You can't compare Hershel Walker b/c signed with the NJ Generals out of college. If I remember he had a great 1st year too...

    Bush = 25-30 plays.

This team needs to be concerned with the 100 or so plays from both sides of the ball. One player, as great as Bush is, will not rebuild this team.

Think about the Saints when Ditka traded his entire draft for Ricky Williams.
