I really want Turner, but we got the #26 pick in a trade for John Abraham who while injury prone is a dominant pass rusher. I think the world of Turner, but there is no way he is worth a 1st round pick.
would it really take a 1st rounder to get Turner? I don't think many teams would give that up for a backup no matter how much potential he shows
agreed...he is a proven back-up, not a starter....same as lamont jordan, and look how tht turned out for oakland....a second rounder, maybe, but i'd prefer to draft a stud RB in the 1st round, and if not, THEN go after turner with a 2nd rounder
I am not sold on Turner, but Lamont would be a star if the Raiders had any semblance of an O-line or QB. He had a very good first season with the Raiders and then last year the wheels just fell off on that offense.
Chill people u always start out high to see if there any fools who will jump and then when nobody does they will come down.
Jets drafted Lamont in the 2nd round and couldn't even trade him for a 3rd round pick in his last year before free agency. I don't know where turner was drafted, but it wasn't the 1st round and there is no way we should trade that high of a pick for this guy. Just wait a year.
Cory Dillon was a proven runningback who had multiple 1000 yard seasons and the Pats got him for a second rounder. If we give up a 1st rounder for Turner it would be a terrible deal.
I would love to have Turner on our squad but I wouldn't give up a 1st rounder strictly on the reason above. How does he deserve a 1st round tender when Corey Dillon was had for a 2nd rounder. I'd give up a 2nd rounder but not a first rounder. I can't see any team being dumb enough to do that.
