Agreed....Kimo is done & Hobson belongs on the inside. Why Vilma is in the middle & Hobson on the outside is beyond me. Jets' really don't have the right personnel for the 3-4 defense. Jets' left alot of NT's & big OL on the board last draft. Ex: Gabe Watson., N'gata, Winston Justice, Max Gilles ? I didn't really understand it ??? Jets' had a real chance to have a monster draft last season. After the Clemens pick, Jets' wasted all the other picks besides Washington ???

This draft seems to be a very weak draft...I don't know how much help Jets' will actually find this season.

is anyone else intrigued by this guy?

PAUL SOLARI, UTAH (Round 3) -- A 6-foot-4 344-pound space eater who should force that all-important extra blocker to move him, and that frees up an inside backer.

dont know much about him but if he can be had in the 3rd round id like to take a shot at him.

The way mid-round mocks have always gone, that guy will probably go undrafted.

He's interesting, but is one of those big guys who needs how to play with leverage. It's like a concensus knock on this guy.

Of course, the way Dwayne took that lesson last year, he would definitely be a good pick for us.

Weight doesn't necessarily translate into being a good nose tackle. Just cause a guy is 6"4 335 doesn't make him a good NT. He could have a weak lowerbody and be easily pushed around

One of the best Nose Tackles around, Ted Washington, is 6'5". Admittedly he is at the extreme end of the spectrum. Could Branch play NT in the NFL? It would depend on weight, leverage and technique. Washington weighs 365 pounds.

Waters and McBean are my favorites on that list.

The primary physical attributes for an inside linebacker in a 3-4 are quickness and impact at the point of contact. Vilma has quickness but no impact. Hobson has neither. That's why the Jets put Hobson outside. He'd be a terrible inside linebacker in a 3-4. Eric Barton, BTW, has both.
