the just destroyed everything...they arent rememberable to me.

i think it the yankees beat the diamondbacks in 2001 then that would be #1 at the list

This is the team (98' Yanks) I compare to the current LOSER Pats team...

This Yankee team ran away with it and was so dominant that IF they lost it would have been the most crushing to me... The whole 2nd half of the season was waiting to see if they could win it all - like the Pats, the pressure grew and it gets to the point where you win it all or it's all wiped away and a crushing waste... Funny how Pat fans want to say it's no big deal now cuz they won some... Well, 97 was "ok" after the Yankees won in 96'.. 98' and the records and such it would NOT have been 'ok'.

The greatest Sports moment in my life was the 96' Yankees World Series... At 39 years old I was too young to really enjoy any Yankee WS before that and THIS was like a religious experience - Some joker wants to compare an NHL title to THAT!!!! WOW, I was at Game 6 and then in NYC after that, I've never seen anything like it before or after.

Nothing in the NHL compares to that - Maybe 4 In a row comes close!!!!!!

Umm, what about the 98 Yanks as well? They're arguably one of the best teams in baseball history.

In fact, they should've just put the entire 96-00 Yanks as one slot.

This is why you need specific criteria to judge the five best in a place like NY/NJ where there's so many teams in so many sports, because otherwise it's impossible. And it's subjective based on what sports and teams you like. For me nothing can top the Devils 1995 Stanley Cup because it was my team from their first day, their first Cup and I was there. Nobody else could probably give a shit, but that's the point. How many Jet fans--aside from the bandwagon douchbags here--do you think give a rat's ass about the Giants just winning? The five "best" is too vague, they need to narrow it down with something more specific. Most improbable, most exciting, most dominant, something.

lol wow you read psych 101 on the back of a cereal box?.

Actually the use of a smiley negates anger and such. But since your sense of humor is absolutely devoid........................................

Yes you are correct the internet is serious business and I was wrong to mess with an obvious Islander fan giving a bad opinion about 1994. Excuse me you may carry on..................

He won the most knowledgeable? hahahaha never questioned his knowledge, just his sense of humor, that and the dimestore use of psychiatry on an obvious mess with an Islander fan post, in the name of fun.

Besides if I get in the middle of your wars it is to help not throw gas on the fire so GTFO ........... (yes I used a smiley)

1927 Yankees. What's the problem with them? Why haven't they been mentioned?

Although I did have a big argument with him about the 1972 Dolphins, I'm not having any wars with him, if that's what you're saying here.

There's too many teams in NY to create a top 5 list.

Since I've been on this board, there's probably been six, seven, maybe eight times that I did not pick up on sarcasm. You've been the poster in two of these instances. That's probably a sign that you have to do a little better job with the sarcasm.

It's not something important, therefore I don't know the exact number. It has happened fewer than 10 times, though.

Not sure why the 2007 Giants are in the discussion. They represent my state. New York can go fuck itself when it comes to pro football.

I'm sure to some dude their Arena Football championship was a real hoot as well....

But, sorry, the Ranger and Hockey fans is a fraction of the market compared to NFL and MLB titles.
