Right now: 1. Rodgers 2. Brady 3. Peyton 4. Brees 5. Luck 6. Romo 7. Roethlisberger 8. Wilson 9. Rivers 10. Eli
oh man junc is going to flip out that mark is only on one list and its a jets all time list. which is a really pitiful list btw
I gotta say the hardest qb for me to figure in a top ten list right now is Wilson. On one hand his team has overall success, but they do have a great D and CS, and on O an excellent running game. He also does not get much total yardage, but then again they don't need much. On the other hand he's smart, does not turn the ball over, has a very good ypa and Qb rating, and you can add in is an above average running threat. Second hardest is Romo, because I have not been a big fan of his before this year. Like Wilson he benefits hugely from a strong running game, but you can't ignore, this year, his excellent ypa and Qb rating numbers. Both Wilson and Romo would not have been in my top ten last year. On some other candidates: Drew Brees. His rep takes a hit this year simply because his team did not win enough. But he's still got the stats. Matthew Stafford. Guy has all the tools it would seem, and he finally got his usually woeful team in the playoffs. But that was also because of an improved D and he does have Johnson, and now Tate. Meanwhile some key stats are too low to make the top ten. Matt Ryan. Like Brees his rep is hurting because of team losses. But he still has stellar stats, and you just have to look at Atlanta's D to see where that team won loss record is mostly coming from. Roethlisburger v. Manning. Ben's stats are a bit higher, but I am loathe to put him in front of Peyton. Perhaps a tie? Joe Flacco. Not always the best stats, but he's key in TD/Int ratio, winning games, and this year not only bouncing back but succeeding despite losing his key RB for the whole season. Add in the intangible of how he shines in big games. Overall, right now, that leaves me in order with: Aaron Rodgers Tom Brady Manning/Roethlisberger Drew Brees Andrew Luck Matt Ryan Tony Romo Joe Flacco Russell Wilson/Philip Rivers I know that's eleven, but I just can't put Wilson out of the top ten or ahead of Rivers. F it.
