This is coaching pure and simple. A good coach has his team motivated to go out there and compete hard with the teams that are at the same level or higher and he has his team motivated to go out there and stomp the trash. WTF happened to motivating the team to beat the sadsacks? Little oversight there Eric? You just fucking blew the best chance the Jets had to win a Super Bowl since 1998 by not being able to beat the goddamn Raiders, 49ers and Seahawks! WTF was up with that loserboy?
Zipped into double coverage and the Seattle defender had an arm in there. How many times did we have open receivers on Sunday that he missed?
I've watched Favre his whole career I know he's primarily a WCO passer. But several of the longer throws he missed yesterday (and REALLY missed) I've seen him make hundreds of times. And as a huge fan who knows he can make those throws and expects him to, I was really disappointed that he didn't. If someone asked me again if I thought he would make those same throws next week I'd still say yes because I've seen him do it so many times. Hopefully it was just an off day and not something else (old age, bad weather, or a combination of the both)
I agree, absolutely. We had something going but it was figured out. Our coaching staff has utterly failed at adjusting. I think the most disgusting thing of all is the lack of fire on the field. It looks like no one gives a damn. That also has to go on the coaching staff. And though I dont like putting the blame on them for that, lets face it, its the coaches job to light a fire under their asses. God, I am so disappointed in my football team right now.
