We can't forget about Keller and Cumby. We should be running 2 TE sets anyway if were going run heavy - or with an additional tackle over. Hill and Chaz could work out for a little while, since Hill can stretch the field, but Holmes is the most talented guy. We sit him for the first couple pre-season games and we'll be good to go by the Regular Season. I'm really looking forward to seeing Cumberland back out there, he was good last year until he got hurt - hopefully he stays healthy, he's a freak.
Ive only read negative reviews so far regarding Kerley. All Chaz Shillens has done is run his mouth. Stephen Hill is going to take time to adjust to the NFL before his contributions are significant (and that's being hopeful). Gonna be tough for our boy Sanchez to show any progression with the current supporting cast. I dont think Holmes is an amazing WR by any means but at least he has played in the NFL for more than 10 min. I hope he is available for week 1.
I've seen you claim that you have been a Jets fan for almost 40 years, but you come off like a teenager. On drugs.
Thinking this is a 5-6 week injury may be a little wishful thinking. You see quarterbacks play with broken or sore ribs but they don't get hit (well not most of the time). Ribs are a tricky thing as you can't set them in a cast you just have to wait for them to heal. You put a WR out there with sore or broken ribs that aren't completely healed you'll be seeing the definition of alligator arms.
Thats good to hear. Hopefully its the difference between missing a couple preseason games and missing week 1 and 2.
Nfl.com has an up to date list of free agent WR. There are some guys still out there that would come cheap and could really help this team. Im clearly not talking impact players here but we are in no place to be picky here. We just need body's at this point.
Jets RapidReports @CBSSportsNFLNYJ Being told that Santonio Holmes' injury is cartiledge-related, not actually a broken rib. May have aggravated injury from last year. #Jets
100% disagree. Hoping someone keeps on suffering an injury that you either you like or dislike in athletic competition seems like an overreaction
No surely him having a season ending injury in the preseason is just desserts for starting an argument with the worst offensive linemen in Jets history.
The guy who has the mancrush on Braylon made this thread impossible to read so I just skipped to the end so forgive me if it's been mentioned already... wasn't Vick back in 4 weeks from a broken rib? And if this is just cartilage related he should be ready to fly come the opener.
Yea he hasn't posted on this page yet. I think all the Braylon talk got him all hot and bothered and so he had to step away for a bit.
You know last offseason this guys opinion was the majority. If i remember correctly (and i do) most guys with common sense like myself were basically ran off the board for even suggesting we should keep holmes over braylon.
