If youre a HB that everyone keeps calling done and burnt out, who would you rather play for. The team that undoubtedly has the BEST rush blocking offensive line by a LARGE margin, or the team that has an offensive line who let their QB get absolutely beaten to a pulp in the playoffs, all the meanwhile having to sit behind the #2 HB in the nfl . At least he knows hell have a chance to succeed with the Jets
And your team lost to a team that 'got lucky' ? The Chargers must play in a shitty division and are therefore overrated.
I'd like you to find me the team more deserving, considering the other candidates for the Wild Card decided to suck in December and choke and the Jets simply beat who was in front of them, backups or not. Matt Ryan had an injury plagued year with Michael Turner out for many of the important games in their season. If they were both healthy, Ryan wouldn't have had the perceived sophomore slump.
It is pretty sad to see Chargers fans coming here and downgrading one of the all time great players to play in the NFL and their team. As far as the Jets not deserving to be in the playoffs, I guess the Chargers REALLY didn't belong as they lost to that very team...at home. PFT is reporting LT is extending his stay and may sign shortly.
I was against bringing in LT at first and really ridiculed the idea. But reading this thread has changed my mind. Why not bring a hall of famer in to spell Greene? Makes sense.
Lolwat? Our o-line was garbage, but because he didn't have any cutting ability/side-step, the run would be directed to go one way, but there would be a hole open on the backside. Rather than being able to make a move to the backside, he stumbled over his feet and went straight into the line. Happened quite often. He did often get hit in the backfield, i think that is in part why his vision/patience wasn't as good this year. He tripped in the open-field simply by losing his balance/tripping over his own feet. His knee, ankle, and groin injuries have taken their toll. My team is a bunch of retarded choke artists.....at numerous positions, but Cromartie and Nate especially. How big would you say this hole is? (on the left side) img191.imageshack.us/img191/8806/lt1.png img359.imageshack.us/img359/4930/lt2.png
Thats my story and im sticking to it. AP fell apart at the end of the year and looked REALLY flat the last couple of weeks. And their secondary really started to suck once their CB (his name escapes me atm) hurt his ankle. Their defensive line is beast no doubt, but the Williams's are getting old. And yeah they completely trounced Dallas, but that success was mostly due to Favre + Vikings Defensive Line (which I said is good), and one of Dallas's dumb ass offensive linemen getting hurt.
if ya believe all you wrote, the sun has truly fried your brain and you deserve to be taken advantage of... I have a bridge for sale... ya interested???
Oh FUCK OFF with that the JETS weren't supposed to be there Bullshit. They got there, and proved in short order that they fucking deserved to be there. Came into your fucking house and kicked your fucking ass. Get over it.
What? I became a Chargers fan in 2001, when Tomlinson came here. I think I know what I've seen watching him every single game. Lol I'm not even going to start this argument, because I don't care......but we lost that game as a result of our players having vaginas and shit for brains. You guys won fair and square, but we certainly helped you out
I'm speculating that perhaps Schotty sees LT as a more attractive option for some wild cat plays because he can actually pass the ball. How do you not see that line of thinking? If you do a LT / Brad Smith combo they can both be passing threats. I'm not saying its the main reason but it could be part of it. But the other huge upside is that LT is a much better pass catcher than TJ is and also a great pass blocker.
Re: Source: LT to visit Jets on Friday Then why are you still a fan now that he's gone? Most bandwagoners of a player continue to ride along to the new team...not that your sour grapes mentality would be particularly welcome here.
Re: Source: LT to visit Jets on Friday I'm curious how you see us going in with a new #1 receiver this season. That's an honest question, unless you're simply implying you think Cotch has the better season.
I didn't become a fan in 2001 because of him. I became a fan when Doug Flutie came to san diego in 2001, which just happened to be the same year LT came here. I'm not going to just stop following my team because one player (albeit my favorite one) left. But it certainly sucks seeing him go.
