Maybe some players can speak to Favre's character in a way to convince LT.

LT is a big offseason workout guy, so he may very well appreciate that.

Do you guys think if we sign LT that Leon will be out? I really hope not.. I would much rather have Leon than LT...

I think having Tomlinson's pass catching ability makes it less likely that we match an offer that Leon gets. That being said, it remains to be seen if a team is willing to give up a 2nd round pick for a RB that is coming off of a serious injury.

If we sign LT, and someone offers Leon a contract, we aren't matching it.

I'm beginning to come around on this idea, just like most players a change of scenery and offensive lines might do the trick.

Imagine having LT and LW back there, that'd be a nightmare for teams to cover.

Schotty could have a field day with screen passes and bubble screens.

Re: Source: LT may visit Jets on Friday

He didn't say cut, he said out. He may have meant "If Tomlinson comes in, could that mean we don't match an offer for Leon?"

It's something of a valid question, although I wouldn't feel too bad with SG, LT, and Ryan Mathews/Toby Gerhart/etc as our backfield. Imagine if Leon left and Mathews somehow fell to us. We could have Mathews, Norwood, and Alualu in the first two rounds.

Sounds like Tanny really wants him. Our scouting department MUST believe he's still got enough left in the tank if they're offering more than they would to match TJ.

I'd love to see a third down set with 2 wideouts, Keller in the slot with a Sanchez in the shotgun LT and Leon on either side of him. Fuck letting Leon go, this would be a great set of backs.

That would put a lot of pressure on defenses with the o-line we have. What personal package would you match against that?

That would be absolutely filthy. Teams would have to run dime packages and still abandon the pass rush.

The more I think about it, the better it sounds. Teams couldn't go quarter because of the run threat, but we'd still run at will on the dime AND be able to exploit single coverage underneath with plenty of pocket time. Absolutely filthy.

Agreed. That's why I hope no one signs a offer sheet his way, because if they do I think he's gone.

He can hide behind linemen and duck away quickly but it was a gamble every time.

he could definitely be effective combined with Leon and Greene. and his leadership would be something greatly appreciated in the locker room. i think this is the kind of locker room LT would love to be in in his final years.

we'll see. maybe minnesota breaks a bank were not willing to touch on this one.

hes a shadow of the GOAT ability we were all used to seeing this past decade. but i would love to pick him up.

Chester Taylor was my number 1 WANT out of those available. but this would do for now.

the draft is also loaded at RB so if this doesnt happen its not the end of the world.

Leon with his leg is now a question mark. If someone signs him, we get their second round pick. I think I'd rather have Shonn Greene + LT + 2nd Rounder than Shonn Greene and Leon.
