it's pretty sad when a bunch of jets fans get excited about a patriots preseason game. however, i suppose the pats patchwork olne means the jets may have a shot to be preseason super bowl champs again.

Eh, Waters might retire and Mankins/Vollmer might not show up until week 6 unless they get activated this month. If they don't come back then Brady is fucked. Maybe they'd be okay with just Vollmer, because the weakest link definitely appeared to be Cannon. I'm not convinced that Solder is a complete bust just yet considering he was a good NFL tackle last season. Then again, McCourty was a Pro Bowler one year and shit the next.

This isn't directed at you, but this thread has some of the most ridiculous posts I've ever read...

I seriously doubt that the Patriots would have gone into camp with their current lack of depth at guard if Waters' intention wasn't to come back. This has all the makings of a handshake agreement made months ago. I don't know what the implications would be for him to skip camp from a contractual standpoint, and I suppose he could change his mind, but I'll be very surprised if he isn't back a week or two ahead of the opener.

It's pretty simple, both Jets and NE have problems on the OL. Buffalo licking their chops.

    Mankins is back, That helps.

While it is possible Waters will retire, he must at least be considering coming back or he'd just have retired already.
