Yeah your right that was unfair and wrong. Rex did keep his yardage rankings which he loves bragging about but he did fall off every year in scoring and wins, which I guess are irrelevant stats
To be fair the Seahawks secondary was injured coming into the game and got even more injured after the first pick. Probably didn't help that Quinn runs a basic defense though. Can't imagine he will do better with the Falcons
I can see it now. 2020 Equipment Manager of the Year. There will be awards for everything. The only one that matters is the Lombardi Trophy.
There's already a 2014 Equipment Manager of the Year but he is currently under investigation But really, you don't think there should be recognition for coordinators? I think it has been a long time coming
Wonder who will win the 2015 Ballboy of the year...Too bad New England had that locked up. Everyone other ballboy was deflated that they were not even in this conversation this season.
It is fine, I guess. I am just not an awards guy. I guess it is nice to know that we got a very efficient coach for our team. And some guys love the awards voting at the end of the year. With me it is basically just record. A lot of awards have a large smattering of subjective to them.
Except for that game where the Jets lost by 16 points. Or 42 points. Or the one where they lost by 21 points. Or the 30 point loss. But I guess the 5 other losses were kind of competitive. The 4 victories certainly were.
There is a bit of revisionist history when it comes to this subject. Rex was 4-9 against the Patriots (including the greatest win since '98), but 4 of those losses were absolute blowouts (by 17 or more points). One loss was by 9 points. The other 4 losses were close by 3 points or less.
I'm really going to miss barely losing to the pats so often. How can we replicate so much without the great rex ryan?
