Bowles defense is horrible.i dont like it a bit. This team is going to get torch the rest of the games.giving up to many yards. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Please Woody, no more OJT HC's. Next hire really has to be a former successful HC. We haven't had a real HC since Parcells. Just a lot of posers passing thru stealing Woody's cash.
Can't bench your starting QB when down just 2 scores, with the ball, and 8 minutes left. The game was very much in reach right (you can thank our 'terrible' defense for that) right to the end.
Oh not at all because its not long term. But the coach is too stupid to make a change. Beli woulda sat him in a heartbeat. Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
Except for the rare parcells type situations the choices for h.c. are no experience or fired for sucking or great college guy who wants to see if he can do it in the pros.
The easiest thing is to criticize the coach. Grow up! When fans can't evaluate they call for a firing. The coach is the same as last week and so is the QB. If the mistakes are correctable then move on. If not get better players. That's how it works.
Sorry were not mature enough to just accept stuff coaching decisions. He makes bad decisions we can question them if we chose so. Whether or not they're valid is another question. Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
It shouldn't. I know that some HCs and GMs seem to think that way, but imo it's bad enough that you paid that kind of money to a QB who can play that awfully. Continuing to play him if his play continues to be that awful is adding insult to injury and compounding the problem. I really don't expect them to bench him for next week, or even give him a short leash. He's probably earned 5-6 games for his play last season (the last game vs Buffalo notwithstanding). I'd be shocked if he continues to play as poorly as he did today, but I'd also be shocked if he was benched before another 2-3 bad games. He may even get more than that. I hope that Bowles will learn and Fitz improve, but if not, then I'd hope that Mac orders Bowles to start Geno. If Geno gets the chance and plays passably well, I'd give him most of the rest of the season. If he gets the chance and doesn't play passably well, then I'd still ride him until I thought Petty was ready to play because at least with Geno opposing Ds can't sit on the short routes.
I just am failing to see the comparison. They are both black defensive coaches that played cornerback. I think that's where the comparisons end. Herm took over a team that was 2 years removed from an AFC title game and rode that into a cushy KC job once they began to break down. Bowles pretty much had a team of mercenaries with a couple of homegrown parts his first year. Herm was insanely conservative offensively . Bowles seems like he could be but he's made some ballsy calls. Herm ran a Tampa 2 defense. Bowles runs a 3-4. Bowles isn't great at clock management but Herm needed a damn clock coach. Not that I want to knock Herm. I enjoyed his time here though I wasn't sad to see him go.
