Smith got a 12, definitely not the lowest. Simms got a 10, still not near the lowest.

I have to ask: is there such a thing as an "Elite QB" without an "Elite OL" and "Elite corps of receivers"?

Elite QBs pilot elite offenses. They aren't elite without the rest of the offensive components being good.

Russel Wilson (In terms of WRs), Tom Brady during some time periods (rarely has a solid RB, hasn't had what I see as an elite WR since Welker) seemed to fare pretty well. But yes Bowles may be right- the question is, how many weapons does it take to make Geno a quarterback who could feasibly win the Super Bowl (because if there's no feasible way your starting QB could ever win a super bowl, you need a new starting QB).

0 weapons or 0 chance? Lol. But assuming you meant zero chance, I hope you're wrong but I have a strong feeling that you're right.

he did have something to do with the success of those teams.... HOLDING IT BACK. he lost us several regular season games and almost prevented us from even getting in. and when the defense couldnt carry him, he couldnt step up and shoulder the load

in '09 we got in on tiebreakers... and only because the colts rested manning the last game against us, instead of trying to go 16-0. during that year:

-Sanchez throws 5 picks in a 13-16 OT loss to the bills
-throws 3 picks in a 7-10 loss to atlanta
-throws for 130 yards and 3 picks and lost a fumbled in a 10-4 loss to the saints

how is that not holding us back? he nearly cost us a chance to get to the playoffs, and woudl have had indy not rested manning.

Oh stop with your woulda coulda shoulda on a rookie QB. Just stop.

Besides, let's not turn this into a Sanchez fest.

I get it, you hate an ex-Jet.

Yes. Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, John Elway to name a few. These are QB's who put up a majority of winning seasons for 15 or more years. Does anyone know or care who their OL or WR's were during those years. I don't buy that they all had elite OL and WRs every season they won. These guys were so good they made everyone who played around them better. That's what an elite QB does. Granted they didn't always win the big prize, but you can't win it all unless you get into the postseason consistently, and these guys did.

You gotta admit that luck played a big role in '09.

Sanchez is exactly what his stats says he is.

There were times that Brady could've snapped the ball, sat on a toilet, gone pee, wiped his vagina, put the lid down and flushed before pressure got to him. He's almost always had an elite line. Put him behind the Jets line (and with the Jets WRs) the past few years and see how well he would've done.

The other QBs you mention have ALWAYS had HOF caliber WRs.

I don't really understand why Brady had to out the seat down when he was already sitting.
