Post from Jets Insider (This is from Flightaware .com, and regardless I'm sure Mangini & co. would block their tailnumber):

"I just used the below webiste to see if any flights from the NYC area have landed at the Gulfport, MS airport. None have.

However, according to the website tailnumbers on planes can be blocked to provide for extra privacy and those blocked numbers would not show up on the tracking log."

Edit: Plus if Favre is out in WI still, it'd be impossible to figure out the flight info... I know from business travelling that there is almost always a daily direct flight from Newark to Green Bay.

maybe you should go through Mangini's and Tannenbaum's trash while you're at it.

Who knows if he's in Green Bay or Mississippi, Favre is richasfuck...he could have summer homes in any number of states.

I think a lot of people are going to freak out if this really was just a day off. I know I've been sitting here for half the day refreshing the page waiting for updates. :)

Absolutely. Particularly when you consider how Mangini always practices the utmost honesty and transparency when it comes to disclosing his strategies and intentions.

I HIGHLY doubt the off day has anything to do with Favre. No need to cancel both practices for them to talk to Favre. Word would be out by now.

What exactly would his conditions be? A post-game rub & tug from Erin Andrews every game? A 7000 sq ft mansion on the grounds of the new Florham Park complex?

I thought the Packers were the ones with the intense demands, not Favre. All he wants is to play as a starting QB on a decent team. I believe we can meet that condition pretty easily. Can anyone eles verify that this FAN interview really went down like this?

You guys scare me sometimes. To much X-Files. Cancelled 2 practices to meet with Favre!!!! He worked them hard and they responded and so he gave them off. Does not mean they don't lift, run and do mental work

If a visit was indeed taking place, Mangini & Co. would have to allocate a full day for travel and discussion. Magini would only travel to meet Favre if the FO perceived that there was at least a legitimate chance of persuading him to come to New York. Seeing how Favre knows little about the Jets, Mangini or their offense, I think such a meeting would be essential for both parties. Seeing how the most likely time frame for any team to make a deal with Favre and the Packers would be during training camp, there is no other way Mangini could meet with Favre without cancelling practice unless he was willing to preserve the TC schedule and fuel rumors even more by being conspicuously absent for a day which would be more difficult to explain to both the media and his players.

Favre's feelings are hurt after the last two bruising we put on him.

He'd easily be better than what we have now.

The opening play against Miami would be a bomb to Cotchery, and the fans would rejoice...

Favre...sitting, hunched over in a wheelchair...with little rivers of drool running down his chin.....is still an upgrade over Pennington.
