    Okay, cool.

Champ's grumpiness wore off on me there for a spell.

Later tonight I'll have another response to something he wrote, but I don't have the time right now for it.

Yes correct & it was the owner of the KCCs who coined the term "Super Bowl" :jets:

How do you or anybody really know if he meant AFL when he typed AFC? Did he tell you that personally or is it just a stab in the dark attempting to defend his error? :jets:

We knew what he meant. Also, do some research. The merger was agreed to in 1966. I was too tired last night to explain the details of the agreement. I will do that this evening if nobody beats me to it.

The poster, jets4lyfah, was born 10+ years after the merger, so he's only
known the AFC-NFC. It's an easy mistake to make, but if you feel better
picking a nit, knock yourself out.

Yes do U think I am unaware that the merger itself was announced in 1966 & with the actual merger of the teams to take place for the season after SB4 was played? I am sure you are also aware that part of the merger terms was for Baltimore (Now Indy), Cleve (Now Balt) & Pitt agreed to leave the old NFL & join the AFC to make the amount of teams more/less evened out between the NFC & AFC :jets:

How about he was unaware that the AFL existed at the time of SB3 :jets:
