Does it say anywhere what kind of pain meds he was taking? I'm guessing its something weak like Percocet or Vicodin.
Holy shit this is shocking, and yes its a serious incident if the guy wants to kill himself. He obviously has mental problems of some sort.
Well it's certainly not a time to criticize the guy. I hope he gets through whatever problems he's having. I don't want to see this happen to anyone.
Obviously, I hope he recovers, but remember when people actually wanted us to sign him. This is a distraction that we as a team would not want under a new coach.
tisk tisk his career is done. the final bad press blow has been dealt aside from that though,i have mental dissorders and know others and its serious business aside from the pharmacutical companies and doctors over diagnosing. do I feel bad for him? No. Do I hope he sorts things out and finally gets his head right? Definitely. this was just the last thing youd expect though, someone dubbed as such a Ego.
I like TO. I hope he bounces back from this. There's no point in me speculating on any medical or psychological issues though, because I just don't know enough.
I don't like the guy but wish him well. Hes an asshole who has god given talent and decideds that hes the best thing since sliced bread. There are many people who would have loved to be as talented as him and make good use of it....what a waste. I just heard this on CNN. Really surprising. For a guy who loves himself so much its a surprise that he now wants to kill himself. The guy really needs help.

The report said Owens was asked by rescue workers "if he was attempting to harm himself, at which time (he) stated, `Yes."' The Dallas police report said the 32-year-old Owens told his friend "that he was depressed." Details of the police report were first reported by WFAA-TV. Police Lt. Rick Watson said during a brief news conference that he could only confirm that paramedics called police to say they were taking Owens to the hospital. There are 2 rumours going around the TO website forums: 1) Donovan McNabb did it (sample quote: "I thought blaming McNabb for the Giants game was bad, but this is outrageous") 2) He mixed up his supplements and painkillers (sample quote: "So why was his publicist shoving her fingers down his throat trying to stop him swallowing two more?")
I've never like TO, but now I sympathize with him. I'm dealing with depression myself, and I know that somedays are really hard to get through. I hope he gets better and I hope that he gets help. This is no joking matter, and people making light of it is just not right.
