I agree Dick LeBeau is right up there with Rex, but I don't think it's that ridiculous to make that statement to go as far as saying "I don't know football" solely based on my opinion on a very fair and arguable topic.

Dick LeBeau is a Hall of Famer and has won 2 superbowls. Has Rex even taken a defense to the superbowl? To say that "he's right up there with Rex" as if Rex should be higher on the totem pole is laughable. Rex is great, probably the second best, but Dick Lebeau he ain't (yet).
As a Jets fan, I am definitely going to be a little subconciously biased towards my team simply because I know so much more about them, and have an attachment to them. It's normal for every fan to have a slight bias even when they try and control it. But like you said, it will be epic.
