I think we have to to win. I'm not exactly in favor of having Sanchez throw 40+ times a game, bu our pass offense is much more dynamic than our rushing offense. Now that tells you something.
The end problem you have to deal with in letting Sanchez throw the ball around a lot is that 10% of the throws are going to be really bad and some of those are going to get picked. Unless he has a much higher percentage that are really good the trade-off is going to be really iffy. Just like Eli. Only Eli can make those 10 percenters that suck without any fear at all that his job is in the balance. The great QB's all play in systems tailored to their strengths. They mostly play with players tailored to those strengths also. It's not done in a vacuum. There are no QB's in the NFL today who make a lot of throws in a random system that is tailored for and by the OC and without the QB as the primary consideration and succeed. If this worked Brian Schottenheimer would be a genius head coach somewhere after creating several brilliant offenses to get there.
May as well let Sanchez develop with the young WR's....give the young ones some playing time. Ala Kerley mcknight and hill.
