Yea Holmes,Maclin,Manningham and Kerley. My point is theres no way a second year GM trying to make a name for himself in the buissness is gonna sit around and do nothing when we have cap space and guys like Britt,Boldin,Maclin,Grahm,Pitta,Tate,Nicks,Manningham,JamesJones, are on the open market. So i see us being players in free agency for the first time in years.I wouldnt be surprised to ser us throw a bunch of money at Cutler who we wanted to trade for when he was in Denver

Why does everyone keep saying this? Why is Holmes gone?Your telling me on a team with no WRs were gonna cut the one playmaker( if healthy) we have and take a cap hit when we may infact need him .Im not sure of the cap problems we would or wouldnt have by cutting Holmes. But at anyrate i think Holmes will play out the rest of his contract.Holmes is a frEe agent in 2016 .I could see him taking a pay cut or restructing his contract if anything.Unless The Jets plan to break the bank and sign all kinds of WRs .He has very little trade value if any at all ,Who wants that big contract?

I would, and that would be a bad idea.

Damn, everyone here is all about this duct tape way fixing things. That is not how a team is built. I highly doubt that we a big players in FA, and I doubt even more that Holmes will be on the team next year.

I could see him leaving Seattle where he is third on depth chart to be a num 1 or 2 on the Jets,Him and Maclin would be huge and not that expensive

The WR from texas A&M looks like a solid WR. I hope we draft him .

Holmes should be gone, because he is a malcontent cancer that is injury prone. Cut his ass, and use that money on Tate / Maclin.

"solid"... best WR in the nation, and likely a top 15 draft pick. Id sure as hell take "solid" in this situation.

    Re-sign Nelson
    Re-structure Holmes
    Kearly is a beast
    Hill is a reserve
    Sign someone in FA

What are you talking about? Nelson has been solid and is a big target.
Holmes is a playmaker, and on a team with hardly any, it would be foolish to let him go.

Isn't Tate kind of a dick? That whole taunting thing, he really came across as a bad guy. Is he one of those Diva types?

Get a #1 receiver to pair wit Holmes and he's a playmaker.
Sanchez wasn't exactly throwing the ball all over the field.
Do you recall the ground and pound?

It was ground and pound after they opened the offense and Sanchez turned it over a lot. We started of throwing a lot then slowed down. With players who are younger and faster why would you keep Holmes? What value does he have that we can't get elsewhere

We need Holmes, he gets a bad rap. The guy makes some good plays.
There is nobody on this team that DC's fear. You get a true #1 reliever on this team and you watch how that frees up Holmes to make plays.

He is, but the man is a freaking beast - wouldn't call him a diva though he doesn't cry for the football. He plays like Hines Ward

    I'd be down with this.

I'd also like to see Salas in camp from the beginning.

If your offense is ineffective your solution is to keep the same ineffective players? Who have been ineffective for more seasons than we care to admit. Last season want the downfall of Holmes. It started the season before that.
