Then it's a silly point, do you have to draft and sign only highly regarded players? it's more difficult to sign a DL and project him into being an OL thn it is to draft/sign an established OL. We got Brandon Moore for peanuts and he's been really good for us for a few years. How did he allow it to crumble? he drafted a bunch of players, signed some FAs, it's not his fault Mawae finally got hurt. The Ol we had in '04 was outstanding, we had some injuries in '05- there's not much you can do about that. mckenzie was a solid RT, Moore worked out whether he was a crapshoot or not, Szott was good for us, kendall was a steal. There's only so much you can do.
