This response is awesome , almost signature worthy. This one puts you way up the line on the futre crow eating list . Simply saying the list is garbage doesn't work in the real world unfortunately. The real world where the nfl players say it does matter and it is an honor .

Hey do you know that Tebow has more playoff wins as a starter at QB than all the Detriot lion QBs in the last 22 years combined?

I don't care if they're players, that doesn't make them scouts or coaches. No way in hell is Tebow a top 100 player and no way in hell should Romo be #91.

I don't see how the players list is the ultimate list. Each players see a maximum of 16 teams a year. Teblow only started 12 games so that is even less. Do you really think the players pay attention to all the players in the league during the season. Do you think the Giants, who never played the broncos really spent time tracking players from the AFC divisions, or we're they fighting for their lives to make the playoffs? The ultimate list to me would be the GMs and only two felt teblow was worth a fourth rounder. That is his value.

For the guy calling out anyone with an opinion unless they played in the NFL. I did play college ball, did you? I could tell you all about the players on the offensive side of the ball, I played defense. I couldn't even tell you the name of the defensive players because my efforts were not wasted on watching film or preparing for players I did not compete against.

And Sanchez has 4 times as many as teblow all on the road. It doesn't make either guy better than stafford.

One season is all they take into account. It's not an all-time list, it's a 2011 list. Stafford will be on it because he had a good 2011. Tebow's on it because he had a good 2011. No more, no less.

He didn't have a good 2011. Yeah, his team won games, but it was mostly due to his defense, and he cannot be given sole credit for that.

When evaluating INDIVIDUAL players, you have to put up numbers...Tebow's numbers:

    126-271 completions (46.5%)!
    1,729 yards (6.38 YPA)
    12 TD-6 INT
    13 fumbles!
72.9 QB rating (he IS a QB)
    660 rushing yards (5.4 YPA)
    6 rushing TDs

Yeah, he rushed good, but so what? This QB'S QB numbers were absolutely horrible and the worst in the league by far.

Hey, do you know that Sanchez is tied for the most road playoff wins of any quarterback in history? He must easily be in the top 10 on this list.

    Seventeen RBs made this list.

I doubt seventeen OL made this list, even though in the real world, OL vastly outnumber RBs.

He did have a good 2011. He took that 1-4 team playing with that same defense (who looked incompetent during that first 5 game stretch under Orton) and led them to the playoffs. You can watch the video and see members of that defense chanting his name during the game. You can read interviews and/or watch the video to see his own former teammates applaud his impact. I don't believe I ever mentioned he should be given sole credit for the team's success...that would be asinine. But to think he didn't contribute at all is equally ridiculous.

You can take those stats and dream of an alternate reality where they wouldn't be enough to make this list, show his incompetence, etc, etc. But here, in the real world, him and those stats are sitting at #95.

BTW, he also set record breaking stats in Denver's playoff game but I'm sure you already know them and even if not I'm not gonna bother looking them up because regardless, his ass is still #95. His ass will still be #95 tomorrow when you wake up but hold onto those stats for comfort if it makes you feel better.

Being #95 on a meaningless list does not mean you are the 95th best player in the NFL, just like being in the Pro Bowl does not make you a good player. It's all about popularity, and he got voted in because of a few 4th quarter comebacks and because he shows his Christian faith. IDC if he was rated #1 by the players, the stats don't lie. His team may have won more games with him, but that doesn't make him a great QB or player. Tim Tebow is a winner, however, he is just not a great football player. It's all about hype and popularity, and Tebow has both. If Tebow wasn't a Christian and he didn't win 2 National Championships in college, he wouldn't even be on a list of the top 200 players.

The NFL players voted him in.
in fact McGahee was on the post show and said he absolutely deserved it, Eric Decker said he turned the team around, and Von Miller said he surely belonged on the list . Those are his team mates who played with him but you know better right? Who saw the impact in the locker room? you or them?

he lost 6 fumbles way to pad the stats the other way murdr. the actual fumbles that were turnovers was 6.

here you forgot this whole part over here:

7-24 WORST TEAM IN THE NFL IN 31 GAMES BEFORE TEBOW (DENVER BRONCOS )

    2-8 2009 (last 10 games of season)

    4-12 2010

    1-4 2011 (first 5 games of season )

7-4<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Tebow in as QB 2011 NO OTHER PLAYER CHANGE

    +1 playoff win

and the defense was ranked 20th and got put on rails for 5 games over 40 points and Tebow had to overcome the defense's bad play against the Vikings and come up with another 4th quarter comeback to win 35-32 so it went both ways, its a team sport, it was nto all tebow and it was not all the defense.

and oh yeah the NFL players voted him in

The only meaningless thing is your vote since you didn't have one. Its a big honor for anyone chosen just ask the actual NFL players and not the fans on a message board.

Foolish post to say he is not a great football player. I can accept not a great QB but not a great football player? wow.... your getting drunk on hateraide.

hey you know who else played college ball? tebow a whole helluva a lot better than you did since he was arguably the best college player ever.

Are little old ladies in Denver tracking you down yet and calling you out? Maybe you should black out your windows on your bronco.

I love how the haters are squirming on this one. I can just hear the salty tears running down your face as you furiously type on the keyboard to respond to me. I can do this all day, all week, all month all off season. Please continue. dazzle us with your college exploits on the next response and how close you were to getting to vote Tebow off the list this year.

As red75bronco said, Tebow only started 12 games, didn't even face half the teams in the league, and I doubt offensive players would spend time watching film of other teams' offenses, when they should be focused o other teams' defenses.

I think GMs and Scouts would make a better list. Half the players in the NFL couldn't tell you the majority of the names of players in the NFL. There have been so many time in interviews where I've heard a reporter ask about a player on another team, and the player would just say "who is that?".

Being a great sports player does not make you a great talent evaluator. Look at Michael Jordan.

As for being a "Tebow hater", I'm actually not. I like the guy and think he has a great attitude, but I just don't like all this hype for someone who is just not a great NFL player.

Keep jumping through the flaming hoops and digging your trench deeper, just makes it more fun .

NFL players voted him in. any counter argument sounds so freaking weak dude. You would think NFL players would resent him for all the attention the stupid networks give him but he actually overcame that in the vote.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL. So NFL players voted him in because he shows his Christian faith and won 2 Nat'l Championships in college? LOL LOL LOL LOL. You can dismiss him as a QB all day but to say he's not a great football player underlines the stupidity of this entire post. He was #1 on a list of most overhyped athletes, barely beating out Romo so yeah he definitely has hype and popularity. That would make his peers even less likely to vote for him as a top player if they thought it was just hype and no substance. Do you understand the argument you're trying to make? You'd be better off just saying "I don't like Tebow and don't think he deserves to be Top 100" and leave it at that than trying to prove why players who actually play the game voted for him. In the end, they matter and you don't and nothing is gonna change but do what you have to do to sleep at night.
