How do you figure that? Other than a home run to one of the premier players in the history of the game he hasn't given up an extra base hit. He's getting hit yes, but not all that hard. Now Smoltz, HE was getting hit hard. He'd have given up 12 runs by now, so this is a huge upgrade, especially since the runs tonight are all on Green.
the balls that were out in the yankee game, they were line drives at guys. the hits here were all legitimate. Its purely knee jerk, so I wont say any more about him.
Just a side note I found today... Quality starts: Brad Penny 11... CC Sabathia 12 Just to throw that out there.
I don't know, Lowell has been hitting well and probably should have been in the lineup over Ortiz anyway. Hopefully this will be the spark they need.
Not at all what I'm saying, and I'm sure you know that. But to get that many quality starts from your 5th starter is very good.
that number is surprising. but the stat 'quality starts' is a stat i put no bearing on. however, penny's intangibles ironically cost him the win last night (to an extent). the fact that he hasn't been able to go deep into games AT ALL this season has worn down the bullpen where they are playing like shit the whole month. in other news, bay is awesome.
It just shows that Youk is a bigger pussy then we all initally thought....just saying. This should be a good game today...
