I've been waiting all season for Thurman to make a comment about Kerry Rhodes. For me, other than his soft play, I really started to hate this guy when Thurman was reaching out to him and he refused his help. Thurman probably couldn't help but not like the guy.

You are having a terrible season, and you refuse the help of your coaches? Good Luck Arizona, I see him gone in 2 years for the same reasons he was forced out of here.

Sanchez was not less successful. He won a bowl game in his only full year. He decimated a Penn State defense in a bowl game. That's a once in a blue moon occurrence.

I know he didn't have 4 years of success, but he did very well in his only year there.

Leinart won two National Championship and a Heisman. Sanchez may be a better QB, but he was less successful than Leinart in college overall. the reality is, probably every great NFL QB who will play in the NFL over the next 50 years will have less successful college careers than Matt Leinart, but that won't mean they weren't great in college.

eh you're right. I'm just in a shitty mood and I defend sanchez when I can. Sanchez didn't have the running game leinart did.

Especially when leinart has the tools and the weapons to be a good QB, since he plays in a dome. He just doesn't have "it."

Rhodes was once a good player until he got too full of himself. Oh well. It sucks for those of us who dished out the $ on his jersey when he actually cared about improving himself.

for those who say "if we bash sherry after he left, then the cs should have bashed him while he was here".

ah, sitting his soft tissue ass on the pine for 2 games is about as bad a bashing as it gets.

They had the replay of that game on NFL Network a couple of days ago. That whole game in general was a pile of shit, (Sanchez's performance, Braylon's timely fumble, THE ENTIRE FIRST HALF) but to see the Jets come back to take the lead and then have the Jags suck the clock out and kick a game winning field goal with the big play being Sherry's blown coverage made me want to puke. Funny how after the game Jim Leonard put the blame on himself but it was obvious Kerry had no fucking clue where he was going.

On another note it was one of the worst times I ever had at the meadowlands in my entire life, which is funny because the weather was quite nice. But my friend's section was totally dead with the highlight being these 4 douchers behind us getting annoyed because we were standing and screaming on third down.

Well, if Thurman can't get this secondary to stop Welker, Manning this year then Rhodes wasn't the problem it is Thurman. I've watched Rhodes the last two years and he looked like he didn't want to get his uniform dirty. It was the right move to get rid of him now. Brodney Pool I'm looking for great things from this guy. Hopefully one of the UDFA will stand out either Donovan Warren or Brian Jackson because Coleman is not cutting it. Also so not so sold on Lowery. That is why the pick of Wilson made so much sense.

I wouldn't put it all on the secondary coach. Scheme goes into it as well.

Coleman is a CB. Warren isn't. Lowery is doing well, but he's not dynamic. Wilson is much more dynamic.

    Really just Brick.

It was a good pick. Most fans didn't understand that it was going to take a while until he had a breakout year.

Now those fans are praising him.

The point is there wasn't a need to bash the guy on the way out. Whether they are asked about the player or not.

Who cares? let him whine and look like the bad guy. We all know what he was saying was BS. I couldn't care less about how Kerry feels, it's not about protecting Kerry's feelings it's about showing a little class by not bashing your former guys on the way out.

    +1

I don't understand why people give a shit in the first place.....Rhodes deserved a flaming shit bomb lit on his front porch for the way he acted this past season.....but his behavior doesn't affect my life directly...so who cares.

What other teams put an article in the paper thanking a former player for his efforts?

if you wanna know the answer to that question you would need to seek out newspaper articles quoting the assistant coaches of all other 31 teams in the league. you can be my guest but ill just assume that the jets aren't the only team in the league that have had some choice words for a departed player. if you wanna prove me wrong go for it.

I can kind of understand where junc is coming from. But since Kerry Rhodes is a sackless bitch with zero heart, I don't care to.

    Well Put.

If you work hard and try hard, the Jets CS isn't going to bash you if things dont work out.

They will if you are an unreasonable bitch like Rhodes.
