    Great Song quote!!!!

I think Jones was unspectular, but thats jones. he takes what the O-line gives him and falls forward.

He's not a great back by any means but a good one and not as bad as I thought he would be after the preseason.

He bounced a few outside--that is his only move, but he still goes down too easily on contact.

I think Jones had his best game as a Jet, how's that?

Far too positive. If you keep being Happy I might have to go to the depressive side of manic/depressive. Please keep us in balance.

TJ had a great game. He ripped some serious yardage off of a defense that was pretty stingy (they contained Leon pretty good, didn't they?).

It was just our first regular season game. We're getting it all together, guys.

Relax, the best is yet to come.

Let's wait a few games before crowning him the second-coming of C-Mart.

Jones definitely had a solid game. He equaled his TD count and long runs from last season just today.

If he can give us anywhere near that level of productivity consistently this season, he'll earn every $ in his contract.

What's not to like about this stat line ?

I have always been a Thomas Jones supporter, I just love this guys running style...Nothing cute...Just str8 to the point! With Thomas Jones pounding the rock, he's the perfect type of running back for Leon to run behind! Thunder and Lightning at it's finest.

Last year, when people were bashing Thomas Jones...I was blaming the O-Line, Chad Pennington and weak arm and Kellen being a rookie...He STILL rushed for over 1,000 yards (Only 1 TD though)

This year...With a deep threat QB who can actually stretch the field in Favre...With Mangold and Ferguson both being 3rd year starters, One of the best LG's to play the game in Faneca and a proven RT in Woody to replace Clement...I just KNEW that Thomas Jones would be a beast here in 2008!

100+ yards and a TD against a pumped up Dolphins D on the road...I won't lie...This is the type of game I EXPECTED after this past offseason

Jones showed the explosiveness that was lacking last year. I expect big things from this tandem with Favre running the show.

Here's to a healthy and prosperous season.

He was very solid, I liked what I saw from him. He should be buying everyone on the O-Line new suits though if this keeps up, especially Moore and Woody.

He looked good today...made some nice moves ad showed some vision.....on the other hand, Leon showed why he is not an every down back

I was disappointed with Leon's performance also. I love Leon, but he's best suited for the quick check-down on the other side of the line. He just doesn't get it going if he's got a lot of traffic around him and thick, space-eating bodies to contend with.

Instead, as an alternative, we need a Brandon Jacobs-type RB (Caulcrick perhaps, in the future?) for that job.

I never saw TJ run like he did today. I was shocked and for this one game, and hopefully many more, I was wrong. He ran hard and showed speed outside and nice move inside.

What would you have considered good, Winston? He was fine...

He did look good today. Had a nice step and looked very quick and frisky. Made some nice cuts to the outside and moved some piles on a couple of runs. If he stays healthy, he could get 1,300-1,500 yds this year.

Agreed. He was moving around pretty good. It's amazing how one guy(Favre), can make the others around him better. The defense can't play the run and let Favre beat them. They must respect us from every offensive aspect.Jones and Washington are due for a great season. The offensive line should be credited, but TJ was bouncing to the outside, when the holes were'nt there. That's something he didn't do last season.

wasnt worried about jones even during the preseason, he looked very good today, showed some good cuts and found the holes for the most part, anyone who thought leon should be our feature back i hope you're starting to reconsider.
