Ah crap, hopefully this isn't serious. Keep him out till he's healthy.

It requires standing around and acting like you just got hit by a truck when you weren't touched?

Jones sounds fine by the reports.

"The trainer taped his upper ankle area and placed an air cast around his lower leg."

I'm really surprised they didn't ice the thing IMMEDIATELY. When I rolled my ankle playing tennis singles (and I was in excellent shape when it happened), the doctor told me to fill a bucket with ice, run cold water in it, and then shove my ankle in there. This reduces swelling, which can be a hindrance to a faster recovery. The faster you can get the swelling down or keep it down the better, but it's important to do this ASAP.

I still walked on crutches for about a week and, while it got better with time, I still felt that damned sprain 6 months later. As I said, the doctor told me I would have been better off with a break than the sprain I had.

Let's hope Jones' sprain is nothing near what mine was (certainly doesn't sound so), but I'm still surprised they didn't ice the crap out of it immediately. There's also a pill that you can take that inhibits swelling, so I'm sure they're doing whatever else they can with it.

Given the condition Jones is in, maybe it is a blessing in disguise to keep him healthy before New England. If it was a high ankle sprain, I don't think Jones would be even walking out to work out on the hand bike. Hell, there isn't a shot in hell he would be back out there; Section 227 there are some reports saying he left and then came back so a chance for ice or the likes is there. There is Biofreeze among other gels and rehab products that they most definitely used on Jones before he did anything.

Aside from that, I thought Jones looked as tough as nails. He's a solid and powerful runner that will hopefully have a Curtis Martin-esque impact who doesn't fumble. Leon Washington breaks ankles for anyone who is hoping to tackle him.

Do you disagree that American football is more physical? Do you disagree that American football players play through more pain than soccer players?

Glad to read its just "tweaked" and not a serious injury.

    :eek:fftopic:

If you made that comment about Rugby I'd agree with you, but seeing as your actually trying to defend Soccer as a mans game I'll just wait for a you to fake an injury and laugh.

Rather obvious, isn't it? Can't have people sticking up for our country, now can we? That's "xenophobic". But talking shit about it in a thread about an injured RB is ok? Gotcha.
