This team reminds me of the 1997 version

People really need to stop being such asses. The first post wasn't really a problem, and it didn't warrant people telling him to kill himself.

 

Perhaps you should add some substance to your posts. Because there really isn't any right now.

 

Ill address the "substance" -- I guess, and Ill even try to support GF's point.

I think in certain ways, the team's situation is like 97.

In 97, like 06, the jets were coming off a terrible season and had a new coach/system etc.

In 97, the jets were 8-4.
In 06, the jets are 7-5.

Of course, in 97, the Jets lost 3 of their last 4, two to losing teams and then of course, the infamous "leon johnson game."

In 97, 6 of their 9 wins came against teams with losing records. (They beat pats, bucs, vikes).
In 06, 6 of their 7 wins have come against teams with losing records.

SO -- I suppose if the jets lose two of these last 4 and dont make the playoffs, a comparison to 97 would not be so far off.

 

Whatever happens these next 4 weeks I hope '07 is like '98 exept that we finish the job.

 

But you have to take this post of GFs in context with all of his others. Go take a look at his history, and it is pretty obvious that he is not coming from the same place you are, as a fan. He entered troll status a long time ago, the worst kind, a troll pretending to be a fan. If the posts were from just a pessimistic fan, I wouldn't agree but not care really. This is different.
