I think we've made more strides than the Fins during the offseason. The Parcells signing is being way too overblown. That defense has no leader, or talent to make an impact vs any team. Their only win came in overtime last year, they were lucky to win that game on a completely blown coverage - if its covered correctly, they punt and Baltimore probably scores.

jennings is in his what 3rd year? of course hes going to look good when brett can heave the ball up there and he can come down with it.

aaron rodgers has no where near the arm strength of favre. so im pretty sure the passing game is gunna be a little bit different over there.

whatever though everyone knows most sport writers are complete idiots anyway..

Are you raiderjoe in disguise, 'cause you're really not doing a good job of hiding it?

To answer your question...they are the team that went to the playoffs two years ago.

yea it really doesn't matter as most of the predictions are wrong anyway. Remeber the Fins vs the Panthers in the SB? 2006 Sports Illustrated. They picked 9th and 14th in the 07 draft, respectively.

Coles and Cotch aren't driver and Jennings but look at their #s the past 2 years:

    Coles & Cotch 2006 & 2007:

    310 recs, 3835 yards, 20 TDs

    Driver & Jennings 2006 & 2007:

    272-3895 yds, 25 TDs

Pretty similar #s w/ the differences being GB threw the ball 208 more times meaning 208 more opportunities for the GB WRs AND while GB had Favre throwing the ball our guys had awaful QB play in 2007 and an ok Chad in 2006.

So you are basing this on the fact that we won 4 games last year? We won 10 the year before. In the NFL there can be a huge differential in record from year to year. There is no way the Dolphins should be considered finishing ahead of us this year.

Last time I looked, the biggest change in Miami was in the front office.

Get a bunch of writers into a poll and some will try to call it fair and others will seek out the glamour of trying to ruffle some feahters.

In fairness, we are an improved football team. Barring key injuries, we should have a good season and be in the wild card hunt. Beyond that, I do not think that anyone would give us a chance at winning the division because NE did have an 18-1 season last year; while they probably will not equal that record again, they haven't changed a whole lot and should still give teams just as much of a challenge this year.

Don't even waste your time with that guy. After reading several of his posts I have determined - and without much effort - that he is clueless.

Wow so by your logic, the Jets can have a huge differential in record from year to year but the Dolphins can't??? So therefore the Dolphins have no shot at having a better record than the Jets??? That's great logic tell us more.

Using logic, what exactly did the Dolphins do to improve? Trade their best defensive player? Sign a noodle armed QB?

And what did the Jets do aside from signing a bunch of mid to late 30 year olds? Oh but everyone of them is going to be a huge upgrade right???? Please what jet fans don't want to know is what makes Jet fans, "jet fans" The Jets sign a hub-cap and it's the missing piece of the puzzel. Isn't it funny how much better the Jets get every single off-season while the teams around them fall apart,, until actual games start that is. I'll say it again, the Jets won 4 games last year and the Phins 1, yet Jet fans find it shocking that someone would belive the Phins finish ahead of them, please reality is once again waiting for Jet fans on opening day.

Either you have no life trolling this board, or for some reason you hate the Jets. Thats fine....Just get off the board!!! Yes, there are teams that have huge turnarounds. Just not the PHins...There team still sucks. There oline will get killed by us opening day, and noodlearm will get killed. Thanks
