He's right, akibud, you don't seem the type to wear torn black fishnet stockings, face paint and a dog collar in your mommy's dressing closet while you recite Combine numbers out loud in a falsetto.
yeah akibud.....you need to have 3 lobotomies under your belt before the Raiders' fan base even considers you.
this thread has turned out way better than I could have ever imagined. As usual, Vickblows made me laugh until I cried, good stuff! And no, this thread was not a result of a week 2 loss or another bad loss to the patriots. I was watching the Colts Vikings game yesterday as well as the Giants Rams game. My 6 yr old son always asks, "dad, who do you want to win?". I always respond with "it doesn't matter, I'm just watching the game" and that 4th quarter bonus coverage from Denver was incredible!. So it hit me, If I could watch any game on Sunday, I would probably not end up watching the Jets game, because lets face it, only a fan could really love it. And since I have never felt the desire to watch my football games in live and living color, I think if I got direct TV, I could get over the Jets!
I have Sunday Ticket and it is great. If you can get it, get it. I've had it since October 2000. If I wasn't a Jets fan, I would probably rarely watch their games. In the past 7+ years, the Jets have been one of the most boring teams to watch.
that's kinda what hit me yesterday watching the highlights and the other games, as far as entertaining football goes, the Jets has not delivered consistently for many years! And since I really like just watching football, my fanness is based on the fact that the Jets are one of the two teams I've had to watch every Sunday for my whole life, if I'd had direct tv 30 yrs ago, I would have never discover ed the Jets!
Yeah, I wish it came about in 1984 as opposed to 1994. If it was around in 1984 and my family bought it, I'd be a Broncos fan today. I was a John Elway fan. I also liked Gerald Willhite, Steve Sewell, Rulon Jones, Mike Harden, Louis Wright. A grass field and cold weather also appealed to me. Those mid-1980s Broncos teams played exciting football. Tidbit- three years in a row they went to Seattle to play in a national TV game. Saturday, 12-15-84: Broncos won 31-14 Friday, 12-20-85: Broncos won 27-24 Saturday, 12-20-86: Seahawks won 41-16
well we do have that in common, Elway is my all time favorite QB, and those three amigos were en fuego!
