Yep. The Bengals tend to beat the Ravens in Cincinnati, 5 out of the last 6 at this point. They also just tend to beat the Ravens, with 11 wins in the last 21 games. They beat the Ravens when they're going 4-12 and the Ravens are going 12-4. It's just one of those divisional rivalries where the strength of the teams is not as important as their identity. Kind of like the Jets and Fins for a long while there. I think the odds on the Bengals not getting to 10 wins are pretty low. 11 is the question in my opinion.
I just don't get this admiration you have for the Bengals. Did you see them go life and death against the Browns today? they're not that good ... they've been OK. About 9 wins worth of OK against an easy schedule. if the Texans had a viable NFL QB i don't think they'd have a shot at 10 wins, and I'm still not convinced they'll get there anyway. When they played the Ravens, the score was 31-14 in the 4th quarter and the Ravens foolishly shut the offense down and let the Bengals rally to make the score close. Dalton threw 3 picks and had a QB rating of 61 in that game. Ray Lewis didn't play. you seriously think that Lewis, Terrell Suggs, Ed Reed, etc. are going to allow him to beat them with a Division title and possible #1 seed on the line? I can't imagine that will happen.
hopefully the bengals lose to both the steelers and ravens and lose to either (or all) the texans, rams or cardinals.
texans can win with defense and rushing. Jets need to win games and they got lucky today. Sanchez through 11 passes that were contacted by a bills defensive member in the secondary. 4TD passes were great but you can't have that many passes contacted by defensive players. Not to mention the cromartie fumble, and two drives in the second half where the jest threw 5 times and ran once for 2 three and outs. Only scoreboard we need to watch is out own. Pitt beats the Bengals next week it would be nice, but we need to destroy the skins.
I have to agree here Brad. We could have done without the Steelers and tigers getting together this Sunday; a pick your poison weekend there. 11 looks like the number. If you view the schedule it's all uphill for the Jets but we've been here before. One slip and we're screwed. On a brighter note I still think we have to see the best game from the Jets this year, even playing poor we have yet to show a truly memorable performance.
Seeing norv turner pound the ball three times and purposely set himself up for a 50 yard fg to win the game actually made me feel kinda sorry for charger fans. schotty looks like bill walsh compared to that crap San Diego tried to ice the game. he might be a supposed offensive genius but he's also a real chicken shit.
