If the Jets can continue to stop the run i cant see why not.

TheJetsBlog has an article about having Farve throw the slant routes, if does that to guys like Washington and Smith, we could be potent on offense. If the coaches continue to suck its a loss.

    Wow...

It's pretty distressing that so many people on this board think the Jets will lose... But then again, Jets fans aren't exactly known for our sunny, optimistic viewpoint on this team...

For the record, I voted "I have no idea" because really, no one has no idea what will happen in many NFL games. It's why I quit betting on the sport many years ago (after watching friends go totally broke!). Just look at the "NFL experts" and their weekly picks in the newspaper... They're rarely as good as 60% correct and ususally below the .500 mark. You never know.

The Jets could win. The Chargers, despite their bad defense, might win. It's A Monday night game, but I think that whole "Monday Night Home Field Advantage" disappeared a while ago... So anyone who expects the Jets to lode might be in for a disappointment (or if you're a jaded fan, a great win).

On the other hand, the Jets will have a tough time winning the NEXT week against whoever it is, since they have the short work week. Since it's the Cards, who the heck knows?

I was surprised to see a lot of Chargers fans don't expect to win this game.

I guess losing two weeks in a row the way they did can really put a damper on your mindset. Hopefully the players feel the same, but I doubt it.

To the majority of voters that are saying the Jets will probably lose...are you watching the games I am? How can you say they will probably lose to a team that is 0-2, its best player is crippled, and is coming off 2 devastatin back to back losses?

I think that its a pick'em, but fully expect the jets to win this game by at least a touchdown. Farve is gonna shine in prime time, and this is gonna be the nation's wake up call. We are the team to watch.

I think this thread might have something to do with it. I remember a lot of threads like it on this board a while back...

Probably the one thing that gives me hope for Monday night.

The 2 teams that beat SD so far took shots down the field and were aggressive. This CS has no balls. Unfortunately we lose with this current offensive scheme.

How can I say the team will probably lose...

I've been here before. Hell, we were here last week. We played a team that barely hung on to beat possibly the worst team in the league. That team's best player was 'crippled' as well.

Good teams tend to play tough when they've lost a couple in a row. San Diego's record in the regular season over the last three seasons is 35-13.

San Diego is favored by 9 points.

Our offense is still coming together. The line is coming together as a unit. Our 'number one' WR has barely practiced with the starting QB. I just haven't seen anything out of this unit to show that they can score on a consistent basis.

If/when they come together they could beat the bolts D that they will be facing but will that happen this week? I'm predicting not, I hope I'm wrong.

I keep having flashbacks to the '91 MNF game where I had such high hopes for the season and we fell short. I believe the spread was around 7 in that game as well.

Do I hope we win? Hell yes. Do I think we'll win? No.
