It's the AFC championship from hell. I'm so tired of being caught between rooting for Peyton Manning to choke again and rooting for New England to lose. Argh.
Lets slow down with handing the Pats the Lombardi trophy...something tells me this is Peyton's year. If the colt D can play like its played the last two weeks, plus the fact that this one is in the dome I think the Colts will win
Look at it this way: if the Pats win the whole thing at least we can say we beat them once during the season and ran them close in the post-season.
Bingo. C'mon Shotty Jr. Stick around. I give all the credit in the world to Brady. Clutch leader is an understatement. That said, Chargers absolutely blew it. Between the Florence unecessary roughness penalty to the fumble after the pick, they had their chances. Not to mention, Kaeding could have tied it and he didn't. Oh, and Merriman. STF. Lights out my ass.
What stood out to me was the bonehead Drayton Florence personal foul penalty and that god damn Marlon McCree fumble on the INT return... DAMNIT!
"I Hate the Patriots" thread This thread seems to come out every year now, but god damn I hate every part of this team all the way from their idiot owner straight down to thier ballboy ats_suck:
Patriots>NFL..thats what it has come down to. Bellichick knows every possible little miniscule thing about how to winning in the NFL and it makes me sick. f***.
New England always seems to get the big breaks anymore. The past few years, it's hard to believe. That INT/fumble was the game right there. Who else throws a pick on 4th and 10 in that spot and ends up with a first down at the 30? Come on.
Oh get over it, man. Will ya? What do you expect him to do after a big win like that which keeps his Ring-Hopes alive? Just Stand there and show no emotion? And as far as his so-called "Jet card" goes, He'll still get a warm welcome if(when?) he decides to sign that one-day contract(hopefully it's just one day..*shudder*) and retire in Jets Green the way he wants to.
Lets hope that the Colts D(of all things) can carry Peyton's ass to a third win. It amazes me how 1 man, Bob Sanders, makes a world of difference on that D. The only comfort I get in the Colts playing the Pats is that theres a chance that Adam Vinataeri can ruin the New England's shit.
Screw Vinny... some colors you just don't wear... When he finally retires I hope the Jets make him do it up there or in Tampa
I'm starting to sour a bit on the Vinny reitrement thing, too. I imagine it will pass but I'm not happy about this, I wish they would have lost.
I take solace knowing they'll be spending etenity in damnation after selling their souls for all this sucess
Eventually the Jets will turn it on them like the Red Sox did to the Yankees. I just hope I live to see it.
Exactly... Every dynasty crashes hard eventually... Dallas, San Fran or whoever... the tide will turn... and I can't wait to see the meltdown
Brady clutch? He threw three picks, including what should have been the game ender. If McRee just falls down with the ball, the Chargers run the clock out by running LT down their throat like they did all day. Clutch is driving your team 80 yards with 2 minutes left. Clutch is not turning the ball over and getting it back on some bonehead fumble and then driving 25 yards for the tying TD. It is not clutch when the bonehead coach on the other sideline burns a TO trying to reverse a fumble that everyone in the USA knew was a fumble or burning a TO with 4 minutes left on a 3rd and 4 in a tie game. Brady stunk today between the picks, throwing off his back foot and missing wide open receivers. If Pennington or Manning or some other QB had the game he had some people would be calling for them to be replaced. Rivers outplayed him, but his receivers let him down while Brady was bailed out by his receivers either knocking interceptions out of defenders hands, making great catches or forcing fumbles of intercepted passes. The way the game was played today, between the fumbled interceptions and the penalties, Brady had 5 downs to gain 10 yards instead of 4. It was blind luck, not coaching or "knowing how to win" or any other of that BS. It was a game that was gift wrapped for them. My question is when - when - when will it catch up with them? When will they NOT get every break known to man?????
