you guys also can't have it both ways... When you cried about the billboard crew you constantly were rapping on how stupid it was because it doesn't make a difference. Yet now you want to argue that it has an enormous difference, led to Idzik's dismissal and even now created an organizational plan of a short leash and small margin of error. Which is it? -if the billboard stuff doesn't matter than why worry about it? Do you go into bars and worry about what every drunk Jet fans says after losses? -if the billboard stuff does matter than shouldn't you be furious with Woody Johnson instead of the fans? What kind of owner uses a billboard to make a decision? Why wouldn't that make you MORE angry than just some stupid fans?
I don't think it matters one iota to them. People from other organizations have their own twitters where people bash them, their own local talk radio where people criticize them, etc. If they don't care about that, and they don't otherwise they wouldn't have made it to where they are, than they absolutely aren't going to care about what's going on in another city.
I'm sorry Idzik showed me nothing to make me believe he knew what he was doing. Plus now looking who we got to replace him makes me feel the move was the right one no matter what us fans said. I'm still not sold on firing Rex but time will tell on that one.
I didn't love Idzik but the man had a long term plan and was only in year 2. he was not given a fair chance here.
All GM have a long term plan. After 2 years he showed very very little if nothing at all. His draft picks don't really get on the field but Richardson and Geno. He to damn cheap and slow at FA. Plus I don't think he cared what his coach wanted or needed.
I'd check for ya but I don't think its a good idea to go to any website URL containing the words "woody" and "johnson"
he was brought in to clean up the cap and he did that. we are in great cap shape, he wasn't overspending for 2014. he never had a chance to do his job.
The idiocracy within our fan base will find other ways to tear down the new CS and FO at the first sign of adversity. It starts with them and ends with a pussy owner who lacks the conviction to stand by the people he hires.
You do realize there is .net .TV .Black ........so many variables. And on another not this needed a new thread because the op disliked the opeole.other fans that had started and funded the other site. Really thet are less of a fan then you...... Really what about the saints or Dolf in fans that did the same thing. Hmm just my opinion but let people be. and before you accuse accuse me of supporting the billboard I did not but I support free speech
haha, nice one. he seems like he's got a dry sense of humor. a move like that would prob win our fanbase over by wit alone..
He screwed up 2 consecutive drafts. Draft was the lifeline of the team I thought? He was in way over his head.
hard to say he screwed up 2013 draft when we got a star out of it. It appears he screw up important 2014 draft but his biggest mistake was Geno.
Which was a very big mistake. That pick cost us and to an extent we are still paying for it. I think Milliner can still be a good player in this league if he stays healthy. I wouldn't have drafted him if I were the GM but that's another subject. The Winters pick was very bad IMO. We missed out on some good players that draft. 2014, I think he screwed up all-together. Amaro is going to be a good player in this league, so will Pryor - but I have to say - he did an awful job for someone that says the draft will be the lifeline.
2014 was huge, no doubt it looks bad right now and may end up being bad. That set us back. He did not do a great job other than the easy part which was cleaning up cap but he also never had a chance to implement his plan.
He had a chance to implement his plan, that was the 2 drafts. He had time. Thank God he isn't here now, otherwise he might screw it up even more.
