Well, he finally left. He had to have gone 14-0, 13-1, or 12-2 to have come in here and posted tonight. He had a 3 game lead and 12-2 would have meant he'd still be in sole possession of first place. I'll guess I'll have to wait till the standings are updated.
GM, Oakland on the road? Wow. I had Oakland winning against Cleveland, but not vs. SF. I thought they'd get killed by the 49ers.
I was not in here for 15 minutes. I must have posted then left my room so it just kept me on this page. I have no idea how I did, I dont print out my picks and look so I dont remember.
got every pick right, but the monday night pick......kinda bs switching the mnf points to snf or else i hit the jackpot o well...it was a bad pick anyway needed all the help i could get after a rough start
Congratulations to JETFOX, Cakes, and Sparky for hitting the jackpot this week. Things just got very interesting at the top of the standings!
You get 5 bonus points. This is from the guidelines on the football pool page. Scoring: You receive one point for every right pick. These points count towards your point total. Your receive 5 bonus points if you make the right guess in every game of the week. You receive 3 bonus points if you make only one wrong pick. You receive 1 bonus point if you make only two wrong picks. Bonus points count towards your point total. You receive one SNF (Sunday Night Football on NBC) point if you guess the winner of the SNF game. SNF points do not count towards your point total and are only used for tie-breaks. If two or more players have an equal amount of points, the player with more SNF points gets the advantage. Jackpot is when you make the right selection in every game of the week (5 bonus points). While the number of jackpots does not count towards your point total, it's also used for tie-breaks, in case if the amounts of SNF points are equal.
man 5 bonus points? that seems a little much seeing as how 3 people got it and half the board got 1 bonus point
Rats! I made my Yahoo picks at around 9am this morning and picked Carolina and St. Louis to win. That looks good right now. Of course, both teams could still blow their leads. Here, an hour later, I took Baltimore and Seattle. I agonized over those two games all week. I kept changing my mind to the point where I picked them differently in the two pools, not necessarily on purpose. EDIT: Seattle now leads 24-21. That would be better. Split 'em and go 1-1 in each pool with the two troubling games.
Yeah, most people probably have at least 4 losses. I am 6-5 here so far. Against the spread I am actually better. There I am 8-3. It's one of those weeks. Update: 7-5 straight up 8-4 against the spread
I was horrible straight up this week. Absolutely horrible. 4-7 now, I think, after sweeping the late games.
