I'm not making any declarations about what McKnight will do, I'm just explaining why the decision was made. People act like Woodhead would have been doing something for the Jets this year. He wouldn't have been. The obvious hope is that McKnight will reach his potential.
Why not? You could tell They were testing the water with Mckinght during the Preseason , but he coughed it up and they put the brakes on until he matures-football wise.
Because we carry 2 FB's every week and we have Greene and Tomlinson. Woodhead would have been inactive just as much as Mcknight. McKnight was only recently activated to replace the injured Cole on special teams, and let's be honest - Woodhead sucked in kick coverage last year. McKnight has done well in kick coverage. So I think he's probably done more for the Jets than Woodhead would have with his coverage abilities alone.
Woodhead is gonna be the fucking iceberg for your goddamn Titantic, enjoy freezing to death and watching Lenoardo Decaprio die while you listen to sad violins and drown you fucking pussies.
Woodhead was a GREAT pickup for the Pats. He's played in 9 games. He's rushed 64 times for 344 yds, and 3 TD's, Averages 5.3 yds per carry He's got 24 receptions for 230 yds and 1 TD Averaging 9.5 yds catch Total = 88 touches for 574 yds and 4 TD's Averaging 64 yards a game And he probably plays less than half the snaps. Pretty good numbers for 9 games He could definitely end up making a play or 2 that ends up being the difference. He seems to pick up a lot of critical 1st downs As for special teams.... 2 weeks ago, after he just scored on an amazing play against the Colts, he absolutely LEVELED the kick returner on the very next play BIG time. I just hope he doesn't get used too much because how much abuse can a little guy like him take ??? The pats signed him for a song. He's ALREADY outplayed his contract. Sounds intelligent when he talks too and says all the right things.
When will everyone realise you could have a corpse at rb and with probably the all time greatest qb playing with them it would look like curtis martin. Stop brady and the pats fall apart. One thing you are missing is that he signed the extension on the 19th, meaning he has already played 2 games since then. Kind of takes your proclamation of a genius move out of the mix.
If the Jets can't dominate the Pats lousy defense and contain a Pats pass game with no legit deep threat then they don't deserve to win the game. The Jets will win so long as the defense doesn't fold like the Lions defense did.
