Does Fox News say that? That sounds like some of the drivel they make up to influence simple minded people. I have yet to read anything like that in this message board except from you and a few others that seem to think saying stuff like that has probative value.
umm you need to go back and read many threads in the original 3/4 weeks of his signing here. lots of that kind of stuff.
Trust me, taking suggestions from you as to what I need to do or me expecting a valid insight from you, WILL NOT HAPPEN.
I don't want to turn this into a Tbow bashing thread. I was just laughing at hype the Jets were making of trading for Tbow, the wildcat, the secret practices, etc. The way the game is called and the rules in place, favor the passing game. This is why Denver traded him and no other team wanted him. The only reason it worked in Denver, they had the defense to keep games close. Because their division was terrible last year they were able to sneak into the playoffs. You can't pull your first string QB out on a regular basis for Tbow because it will kill his rhythm. It's unreasonable that the handful of plays Tbow is put in will make much of a difference. There has been this unrealistic expectation that is starting backfire. I really don't care what our record is, we beat one not so good team, lost to a good team, should have lost to a bad team. I still stand by what I said before this season started, wildcat and gimmicks are the crutch of bad teams. I trust what my eyes have seen, bad play in all aspects of the game from the Jets. The worst part is this team isn't building towards anything. Bad decisions that are leading it to a cliff. I'm just waiting for the bottom to fall out. I like Tim, he's a great guy, a great competitor, says all the right things, is humble, had a magical year last season, but he doesn't have a place in the NFL as a starting QB. I can see him wanting to be traded at the end of this season and the Jets with a mess at the QB position. Sanchez isn't that good but they are stuck with him given all they have invested. The criticism for bringing Tbow in wasn't because we hate him, it just didn't make football sense.
As said above, there's a lot of Tebow fans here and elsewhere that have said that kind of stuff. You still see it around here now, but it's mostly in the form of, "Transform the entire Jets offense to a spread option and then just give Tebow the ball and magic will happen, just like it did in Denver every 4th quarter." It's essentially the same message, just better defined.
Actually, best I can recall, a good number of "long time Jets fans" were spouting off about converting Tebow to HB, FB, etc and that he'd be unstoppable. A number of us Tebowites (and some others) countered saying that Tebow's success as a runner came BECAUSE he was a QB. If you just lined him up in the backfield and sent him on a dive play, it would be questionable at best.
you realize that broncosforums members set up at least a dozen fake accounts to come over here and troll Jets fans about Tebow as "Tebow supporters", then started a thread on their forum laughing about how stupid Jets fans are right....possible that the comments you guys love to bring up were a result of that?
while it was happening I was pointing who they were out and trying to tell jets fans but was ignored.
